Hi all, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves, here is a semi-Fathers Day gift, preview of what I have also been working on. Enjoy!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

These are the regional heavy cavalry units from the Orient stationed in Antioch. Equipped with armament befitting a unit stationed in the third city of the Empire as well as to be able to counter most of the Persian forces.

    Credits:
    Lief_Erikson for his shield templates
Rusichi and Absinthia for Primary Material

*Testing new formats of unit previews, of which I must say all future units will be presented this way.*

rob ur units are really top class.

I Have a question in regards to armor that Has been bugging me for awhile now and I hope the team can help answer, Its in regards to the ring of scales and Lamellar I have seen on some of the units and in some illustrations of eastern roman soldiers that is around their necks with the above units having such armor. My question is, is this some form of Scale/Lamellar Gorget or does it go by another name? Thank you for any answers

Well yes, almost all of the sources that I have read indeed call it a Gorget, as to the material it depends on the wearer. But the chainmail that is seen around the neck is actually the back guard of the helmet. As to what the Romans, Persians and Avars called them in their native tongues I do not know, but they did wear them and are known colloquially as Gorgets. I hope this answers some of your questions.

Thanks that pretty much answered my question , I’m asking because I decided to turn a paper I wrote for my creative writing class into an actual fantasy novel/RPG and it has heavy military and political themes to it, I was inspired by your mod and The Great Conflicts whe I first started it and I want it to be as accurate as possible as to the name of the Armor Components for the faction I am currently creating and researching for

The baggage train would carry supplies and weapons etc so I assume the best way to represent that would be to give the general a 'units heal after battle' trait and allow it to increase the time an army can be away from a city. A beautiful job btw guys!
