    Regional Comitatenses

    Comitatenses Praesentales Fortenses Constantinopolitani

    Comitatenses Praesentales Primi Thraces

    Comitatenses Scutarii Prima Orientales

    Comitatenses Spatharii Felicium Syriae

    Comitatenses Scutarii Prima Aegyptiorum

    Comitatenses Spatharii Secunda Thebaeorum

These are the regional Comitatenses units that will only be recruitable in one of the regional centers of either Constantinople, Antioch and Alexandria. Western Comitatenses are to come. In addition to these Comitatenses units there well also be two Vexillationes: a heavy cavalry and the other auxilia, either bow or javilens. These are to be previewed shortly.

Ever since my merger with East of Rome I have been influenced by their structure and have redesigned my units accordingly. Stay tuned for more updates!

    Some great units! Looking good.
P.S: Will the scutatoi still be able to be recruited in other cities?

Sorry I missed you, just regular comitatenses these are elite and can only be recruited in these areas.

    Breathtaking! +Rep, Sir!
"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."

All in good time, I'm still waiting for better reference pics from our Sassanian researcher, so until then just bask in roman glory.

But don't worry I'm almost done.

I am very curious, being himself an enthusiastic researcher and modeller of the Sassanians. Keep on the excellent work!

Well done, again great preview. One question, are the names off those Comitatenses historical accurate.

    Cheers

Well, I got them from the Notitia Dignatium under the name of the regions, so the names are, whether they actually existed in the 7th century I don't know. But I do know that comitatenses were divided between those under direct imperial orders were coined "praesentales" so that's true enough.

Awesome units, but will the Comitatenses switch from fighting with spears to their swords once engaged in melee?
