Yes it is very exciting, the mod is still under construction because there are only four people working on it including myself. But rest assured this is a personal project that I will never abandon no matter what, come hell or high water I will make sure that the armies of Rome and Persia are at the ready to battle.

Wow, your mod looks absolutely amazing!

These are some of the best unit models I have ever seen.

There are quite a few mods out there with grade A unit models/textures.

The units you've presented so far deserve an A+++ in my humble oppinion.

    Stunning.

Please finish this mode one day

What about the Sassanian Elephant Corps? Are you going to include it?

What about the Elephant Corps? I know the Sassanids have such fighting unit, but the question I wish to ask is it available for recruitment and replenishment or is it available for replenishment only?

Well, Theophanes doesn't mention anything about elephants in his Chronographia, but I know the Persians still used them so yes there will be an elephant corp with javelins and archers but will be limited to 3 each and will only be recruit able in Ctesiphon. As for your previous question the Sughdians served their Sassanian masters until the end of the empire and continued to serve the rulers of Iran until the early modern period I'm sure until firearms made them obsolete. But if you want to find a source I recommend reading an Osprey book called "Sassanian Elite Cavalry"

I have a suggestion about the elephant corps, since only a cavalryman have the privilege to ride elephants into battle then it would be good to make the crew look like cavalrymen except the mahout. Javelin was not an ideal weapon for the elephant crew and it should be replace by bow.

The elephants are mentioned by Arabic sources (even if they're all quite late) at the battle of Qadisiyya. I think that we can safely assume that they were used, at least occasionally.
