it's very simple:
1- go to SS6.3 folder
2-open default file
3- scroll untill you find windowed=false and make it true
that's it!

Hey I'm trying to make a lets play video with ss6.4 but I'm having trouble with getting the gameplay on my videos. When I use the program that I downloaded called "ezvid" to record my screen, the screen thats recording goes black and wont record after I launch and start to play ss6.4 I don't know if this a simple fix or if I have to go into program files to fix it; I presume that it has to do with somehow getting the gameplay windowed while recording, however I'm using steam and I don't know how to get into these programs with steam. Can anyone give me some insight on what I need to do it would much appreachiated; and does anyone recommend another recording program? I've tried CamStudio but I'm not quite interested. Also whats a good video compressor?
It sounds more like there are some Windows permission issues and not that it's trying to save it in another format. So try copying the file to your desktop and making sure it says the following.
windowed=true
borderless_window=true
Then paste the file from the desktop back into the SS folder and overwrite the old one.
Edit: Also, if there is a "#" before the line like in Cyrene's picture, make sure you delete it. It will comment out the rest of the line.

It was like that by default and its still not windowed.
This might sound like a stupid question, but I have to ask it anyway. Are you 100% sure that it's not windowed? Have you tried alt+tab? Because borderless window mode looks like it's full screen even though it's actually windowed.
Add your screen resolution and campaign resolution into the cfg too. Once evrything is edited and saved change the cfg to read-only. Got it working for me. Ill upload copy of my cfg file wheres you can see and a picture circling what i changed. I also changed my resolution in game to match my desktops resolution.
EDIT****** you dont have to copy the resolution part.
