unpacker.exe win32 error
greetings all,
i have the gold edition of m2tw fyi and so ive run the unpack_all and unpack_americas a few days ago and all was dandy working fine.
however ive tried to make the unpack_british_isles unpack thingy, failed, so deleted and found somewhere that had all four and just used them instead.
the problem now is that when i double click on the unpack_britannia.bat i get an error saying:
d:\Medieval2\tools\unpacker\unpacker.exe is not a valid Win32 application
this now happens to all my unpack files.. but as far as i know the games still work.
any help will be appreciated.

but sorry no luck same msg, turned UAC off.
questions, how big is the unpacker.exe meant to be? is it possible that ive done something to it unknowingly? because currently it is saying it is 0 KB when i check the properties it says its 0 bytes? is it really so small or did i done a boo boo?

Re: unpacker.exe win32 error
unpacker.exe is 344kb. I just checked.
If you have the disc version of Gold Edition, try installing it in C:\Games with the UAC disabled.
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=355307 could also be relevant.

Verify the game cache. It should be there.

Re: unpacker.exe win32 error
I was assuming it's Steam copy. The trouble is you got unpack_all.bat and upcak_americas.bat to work, right? Then, it should work for brittania unless its .bat is bad.
Tried running it as Administrator?

Re: unpacker.exe win32 error
yea i got them to run at first, but ever since my problem none of the unpacks works, i even tried running the unpack_all again and get the error, so im thinking maybe its the unpack.exe thingy just need to find where it is.

Re: unpacker.exe win32 error
Post a pic of the unpacker folder.
See if there is an unpacker folder hiding in users\username\appdata\roaming\the creative assembly\you finish the rest.

Re: unpacker.exe win32 error
Bad install. Tell Gamestop you need a new download.
After you do reinstall and confirm the file size is right, backup the whole Medieval2 folder someplace safe.
For seeing the rest of the way down, check Unhide all files and folders in Folder Options like mine is in the pic.
