I have read somewhere that CA have indicated they that they want to make the player feel more involved at a human level, I wonder what they mean by that??
Anyway, few months ago I thought of an idea for the Rome 2 Total War campaign play and I thought would'nt it be great if it was added to it.
With the 1st Rome Total War campaign and the recent total war games each turn was like the same routine to follow, fix the building queue, set what you want to be built next, view and analyze the square icons on the left side of the screen that represent news, and click the next turn, it seems that this is the same routine you go over and over, again and again every turn. (remember I am talking stricktly main campaign business)
Well what if the game play has changed a bit where those same icons dropped on the left of the screen the represent news or diplomacy relations between other nations etc..., instead of a reading those texts, a picture or maybe a video of a servant/General/advisor what ever is the news about
comes up adressing the news to you audibly, it would be as if a servant was addressing his king on what's happening in the world.
Not only these could be audible also lets say you want to find out more information about a building when you right click on it, instead of reading the discriptions on the benefits
and negatives of a pirticular building, you got your advisors and the councel again propobly in a video your advisors comes up to inform you audibly on what are the benefits for
this perticular building and so forth, I think if this could be done in the next Total War Rome 2, it would be a huge step forward and would give character and a total new
experience and depth to the game play.
What I am trying to indicate here is techenicaly to make you feel like you are real in your thrown room making decision with you advisors around you, and when you look at the world's map, it would be as if you are looking at a partchment map made of goet skin or what ever they used to draw maps on back then, the armies on the map could look like they are a small little sculptures, and when you move them you actualy see your hand moving them, I honesly don't know how far CA can get with that idea but I am sure CA got some gifted people there, and if that idea seems appealing to them in the 1st place?
What is your opinion?
2nd Idea: is regarding battle reinforcements, I love Huge battles and I got a good computer to back it up, but even a monster computer sometimes lags and the idea here is maybe they
can add a function in the prefrences txt, where you dicide on how many army stacks you want on you screen at a time, lets say you pc can handle 2vs2 stacks total at a time, you set that up in ur
pref txt, your pc can handle 8vs8 same thing you go to ur prefrences txt and set it up to what your pc can handle.
Your opinion is greatly apreciated!
3rd Idea: deplomacy is not only on your campaign map, but also on the battlefield, before any battles are joined all generals involved in the battle meet in the middle to negociate terms, and if they
agree with one another a battle is avoided, I can't remember how many times I played the 1st Rome Total War an army attacked me and when I loaded the battle and they see my army aproches, they flee from battle, don't know if it happened to you as well, so we know the computer can reason wisley when it's in disfavor.
Your comments are greatly apreciated.
