I am an old fart. I bought the original Avillon Hill board games when they were new. I was painting figures when many (most?) of the parents of the RTR crew were... well, young. Thirty years ago (or so) I was trying to create strategic rules in my local wargaming club for table top games that meant something beyond use-up-everything-you-have-because-there-is-no-tomorrow.

I know what it is like to work hard to give others a great gaming experience. I understand how good it feels to deliver a challenging and rewarding game. In the early days of Historicon my partners and I would run impromptu games after the official games, in side rooms. We were playtesters for commercial table top rules. I understand you guys. And I want you to know that I appreciate your efforts.
