Cannot set up 6.4 help!

Ok, so 6.3 worked perfectly fine with not problems. When I downloaded 6.4 (this is my second time trying) I go to the set-up window to choose my game settings. I choose late era with Savage AI and permanent watchtowers, then when I press ok, I get an error message saying that there was an error when making a temporary file. Any suggestions? Thank you!
