    Default Arthurian:TW - July Preview

Some more images of the map:

    Historical sites...

The invaders are not the only danger. The Frankish conquest on the mainland is part of the scenery... as a far threat, but not for all the playable factions...

Ahh those are some sweet screenshots. The map really is fantastic an the units look great aswell. I see you got those germanic berserkers...Wolfbyrnies into the game they do look great wouldnt be something id want to meet on a battlefield. They sort of remind me of the film the 13th Warrior. Fantastic work

Very nice when will it be available for download?
Yeh any idea when it will be ready for public beta testing?or do you need anymore people for the private beta testing?

Well done Swabian, good preview screenshots.

Yes we are working hard on this at the moment, and although it is fully playable, with very few missing cards and descriptions....there is still a lot we are adding into the game. There is still a fair bit of testing to get done.

They were used in those battles, yes. But i'm afraid they're not descernible in those screenshots. Great work btw.

@thoscme.....you may be joking but Palissa has spent many hours modelling and animating Nessy....in conjunction with Archers skymod, Nessy should appear when its raining very heavily

@Ravensblade.....Newgrange may still be the winner here, I'm collecting all the sources for Palissa to model from....and frankly there is little for Lough Derg.

I haven't seen or read any Dark Age accounts of Hadrians Wall being used defensively, but as you mention it must have still proved a huge obstacle even as it began to deteriorate, and people began to dismantle it for their own needs.

If I can get someone to help with how I can change the colour associated with the battlefields, it will look awesome. I have changed the battlefield to Alpine, and although the colours look right the pine trees clump together and are extremely sparse....for some reason I can't change the clumping even when I expand the layout.....need guidance lads

The name Border Reiver I chose as my ancestors come from Berwickshire (Longformacus and Duns) to be precise. Not sure if they were cattle/farm Reivers, but I am fascinated by the Borders history....as I am with all Britain.

@Dennus, I will get Palissa to display as he is seen now!

The territory of Ynis Mon is definately in the game, I can't recall which faction owns the land, or the religious dispositon be it Pagan, Roman Christian or Celtic Christian. I was really trying to spread the wonders out, and can't add more than 7

    @the Mighty Palissa

You will have your work cut out for you. I'll update our site tonight with the pictures for you. The Celtic Crosses look spot on

The Frankish warriors with their shields on their backs look great. With those axes they look like they could cleave a horse in two let alone a man.

This Mod is looking better and better. I think Mods such as this which reduce the map area and have a smaller number of factions are more entertaining to play. It means you can have a better range of units for each faction and do not have to play it months to finish off the others.

Yeh i totally agree with you. I find the mods that focus on a smaller area are some of the best there is. An those Frankish warriors do look really cool. They remind me of Gimli from Lord of the Rings there carring that many axes
