Default The bloody coop battle vs bugs, desync and other oddites.

Me and a friend started a new coop, Hard mode with no mods. him as uesugi and me as Date.

Him being new he made a few basic mistakes and within 4 turns was at war with 9 clans

anyways to make things short, the game ran perfectly fine, after my friend was isolated on sado for about a decade or more we managed to get him off and started dominating the east, east-central.

Thats when the game decided to become nasty and outright cheat!.

fighting through desyncs, seeing different things on the screen (he saw a army land on his soil, i saw that fleet travel toward iwate instead), AI turns never ending, black screen of death when manually battling, crashes (shogun 2 has stopped working) agents dissapearing and reappearing for no reason (wasnt wounded, wasnt perplexed) we fought tooth and nail versus bug army from hell.

And finally, in 1576 we claimed victory. The bug army of hell and its minion clans had lost. Uesugi once isolated on sado for much of the game claimed the shogunate, being supported by its faithful friend clan the Date.

Still. first time i ever see such a bug filled campaign, even for a MP game.

desynced every turn the last 10 turns.
Crashed frequently, a bluescreen of death too (never get that in single player O.o)
    AI turns taking forever
both seeing different things on the screen (army movements, ai movements etc).
black screen at start of battles, waiting for another player message never dissapearing.

    etc etc. :x

    but we won! hah

or so we thought. the game ordered the neverending AI turn bug to attack my friend.
It credited me for well fought but apparently didnt feel the same for my friend.

After a quick reload we finally stomped out the last bugs.

    and victory is ours.

next time, i hope the PC sincerly does not cheat

Well, I played a co-op campaign once, and it had some bugs, and it was annoying, but it wasn't like anything you said. The other player just had his game crashing all the time at random moments, didn't occur that regularly atleast, but at a certain moment a fleet turned up and when we clicked on it the game would crash, now that was annoying.

Anyway, you should autoresolve your naval battles a bit less frequently, because the game drastically underrates fleets in naval battles, that's probarly the reason you lost so many of them.

That's not cheating, that's taking the war to a different level.

Obviously your intelligence agencies where feed the wrong information. I would recommend the two of you to purge them, there must be AI double agents working there against you. For this very reason satellite vigilance is more reliable to keep an eye on troops movements!

Well, we are talking about war here! Do you expect them to make quick decisions on matters that would affect the lives of millions of peoples? Hours if not entire days or weeks should be taken to carefully study all the possibilities and implications regarding troop movements and choices like "Do I build a temple or a brothel with public funds here, on the last piece of land available in the whole city?"

See, this is what I warned you about. Obviously you have some serious problems with moles in your lines, the generals get killed on route to battle and of course you can't see nothing then! Purge the general bodyguards too!!!

Can't shogun 2 have some nice vacations? Every one need to stop working once in a while. Don't be a tyrant my friend!

Ummm... maybe those are the damn traitors that keep hurting your war efforts! Hang them I say! Or they are having some drunken scapades. But of course, Occam's Razors would clearly indicate that the Japanese invented teleporting devices and somewhat keep the technology hidden up until now.
