Early and late campain question

Whats the diffrens betwine them? and what happens if I play on early campain and it comes to the year where the late campain start does the uppdate to the late campain and your castles will be able to train new later period units or do nothing happen?

Basically both campaigns are the same, the late campaign trough allows you to play as 2 of the emergent(thus unplayable) factions if you play in the early era - Teutonic order and Golden horde(mongols). The starting positions are changed to be historically accurate(or at least as much as possible), The early campaign ended in 1500's while the late late campaign went on untill 1600's IIRC. The technology remains the same in both campaigns, the late campaign just starts slightly more advanced because of the starting date, but most of the technology advances happen after 1220.

If you play an early campaign you have more time to build up your cities, economy and family tree, and make more conqests. The first 100 years will be pretty bland trough because you will have little units to choose from - mostly militia.

I almost always play Late, mainly due to the fact that all of the factions are very developed with much less rebel settlements. That, and I'm an impatient person, I like to jump right into the action with a wide array of units. With the late campaign, you get to skip the countless turns of militia and low grade units. Don't get me wrong, I like to play Early era when I'm trying to relax and stay neutral, but if I want an action packed campaign right off the bat, I start up a late era game. If you pick early era, you'll end up in the late era eventually anyways, it just takes awhile.
