This would be the bit where I blow the smoke away from my six-shooter and re-holster it with a satisfied smiled. knowing my opponent is lying with his boots sticking up in the air. It was a good run Rex, but I guess you have to concede that I am your master. You can bow if you want.

Challenges have been issued and gauntlets have slapped against cheeks. Here are the pictures for you brave souls...

    m_1512 versus Confederate Jeb:

    (Icelandic sky)

    robinzx versus Scottish King:

    (Etruscan Chimaera)

You have received your picture and may now discuss the details of the challenge. Form an agreement with your opponent and start writing. Good luck to all. The four candidates must send me (Boustrophedon) their story in a pm BEFORE Wednesday August 1, 9PM (GMT+1) and the story must comply with the rules you and your opponent have agreed upon.

And what an excellent topic picture this is.

m_1512, I'd rather we not restrict ourselves too much, so I'm good with the picture as is.

SK: I'm fine with the picture as it is or some form of restriction on the story - your call.

Maybe ally7 would be interested due to the comically similar names of your AAR's, but then again I think he does not read this.

Can we set Friday as deadline? Won't have much time to write during the week.

Dreadful, dreadful 80's British TV series set in a boat yard, the only thing more wooden than the boats was the acting. Power shoulders that could take your eye out. It was sort of trying to be Dynasty but failed even to be that good.
I vaguely remember it yes, I was a bit too young to be interested in when it was screened though

Not today, not tomorrow, not next week, not in this life or in the next, I am Rex Anglorvm, last King of the true Angles.

I will never bow before the lord of the water buffaloes, whether it be victory or defeat

I just meant we should write whatever we feel like has some connection to the picture. I don't think we need to regulate ourselves or anything.

Agreed... Sadly as I'm organizing the next two duels it would be improper to start harassing duellists

I think, when you are ready, just PM Boustro, and we'll get a thread up - of course we'll need robinzx's one as well, however his trash-talking is rather poor.

M, CJ - how are your pieces progressing?

I have CJ's story so I'm waiting for m_1512 to send me his and then we can put it up for a poll

Haven't received either robin's or scottish king's story but they agreed on a deadline for Friday so they have some more time. Also, sorry to contradict you Shanks but please guys send your stories to me. There should only be ONE person who knows the writers and their stories. In short: send your pieces to ME

Shanks can you organize my duel because I challenge... YBBON66! That cowardly fool has been running around here like a king for far too long. I shall take it upon myself to challenge his reign and knock him down a peg or two! Consider this an ultimatum! Saturdaynight 9 PM (GMT+1) as deadline and the story must be at least 300 words and have something to do with the picture shanks will provide. Do you agree to these terms, you son of a hamster!?

Fear not, Boustro. Listen to the more senior member...

For Boustro and ybbon, if he accepts:

Good luck. And yeah guys, I suck at playing the battles - just ask Boustro.
