Default Writers' Study Duels: Commentary, discussing, trash talking - ALL HERE!

    Posted by Shankbot12:

Due to the WS Chat Thread getting cluttered I have trawled through the Chat Thread and moved most D&C related posts to this new thread, and we want to keep it this way. From now on please post in here anything relating to Duels and Challenges. We want to save the Chat Thread for actual questions and welcoming new writers.

Damn it, seen through my masterplan! bucket loads of bt . No matter, Plan B - dazzle the audience with my charm, wit, stunning good looks (you'll need to take my word on that), and all round suave sophistication.

Were's SB when you need him!

Let's have this picture then, we need inspiration! So that ybbon can demonstrate his 'skills', and I can demonstrate my natural ability to display my knowledge of all things wordy

Ask an thou shall receive... sorry I was out for dinner...

Off you guys go, please keep up the philosophical conversations. PM your submissions to if before Friday at 7:00 PM GMT - otherwise send them to another mod. You guys can discuss a theme for as long as you want... or you can write your own - although it has to relate to the picture (somehow), how you interpret is up to you.

Go Rex, no ybbon - no Rex... ybbon...Rex... argh I'm so confused

Aye send them to me. Make sure they're top quality - you're both respected writers and anonymity doesn't mean you won't get shamed mercilessly for sub-par work

And in Rex's case, may the God of iron underpants provide him a few pairs, because the ass-kicking that I will apply to him, he'll need a few pairs for sure.

How about "swimming to stand still"

How about "swimming to stand still"
How about ''ybbon swims home in his own body odour after breaking out in a nervous sweat after witnessing Rex's natural superiority''

    or

''Olympic swimmer takes a wrong turn''

    or

''A long swim on the road to nowhere''

    or

''U-57's Capitan surfaces somewhere off the M25''

    or

''A morning dip takes on a whole new meaning''

And finally do we have a word limit? And did you mean you want the story tonight?

Only I'm supposed to be taking the Mrs out to dinner...I don't think me breaking out the laptop to write a story halfway through will go down too well

    Rex

No, I think he wants the theme tonight. SB sets the competition then goes on holiday! Nice. No chance of me getting the story done tonight, not trash talked enough yet!

You could have a whole team of basketball players talking trash and it won't help. It will be like comparing an Old Master with some daubs on a wall done by a cowboy builder. There are undiscovered tribes in the Amazon who, while still living in the Stone Age, will still be laughing at the paucity of your efforts!

    This is brilliant.

Guys there is no rush for anything, and no word limit. I simply meant that if you wanted me to oversee it I'd need it today at the latest.

However, when I get back you guys will fully understand the meaning of the word "ass-whopping".

I always look refreshed and ready to beat anything and everything the week can throw at me in my morning commute so if that's the best you can do, then you best go get that LOSER medal made right now

I do work at home so it's not a very stressful commute it has to be said :

Rex, I've been digging some compost into my garden this morning, I found some right nasty looking stuff in the manure - I think it may have been your hopes
