Recruiting an army
This Idea is about an easier way of recruiting an army. Instead of micro managing several cities building an army. You could set up your general setup for an army and click some 'recruit army button and it does it for you. Then you could select cities which would contribute which would be unable to recruit until it is done. I was also thinking that instead of manually moving your army when the recruiting is done the army will appear around one of the cities used to recruit.
This option would not get rid of the manual recruitment method, and it wouldn't recruit any faster, or cost any less.
Anyone like this idea? Anyone got improvements to the idea?

Re: Recruiting an army
This is basically in empire and shogun 2. A general in the field can recruit whatever units he wants, and the game will bring them in from the nearest cities in the fastest time possible. The only thing it doesn't have that you mentioned was an army "template" so to speak.

Yes I just wanted to explain it more for those who have not played empire or shogun 2. Of course it was meant to be a slight improvement on the idea.

I know what you mean and why you want it. However, I personally like micro-management in Total War games and love to role play, that includes manually recruiting soldiers from several cities and merging them together.

Re: Recruiting an army
Hasnt CA always stated that armies will be recruited as a whole, and not as individual units anymore?
