    And I'd also like to find out some more about Promtheus' skinpack. I can't seem to find a thread about it. I'd like to knowhow to get it to work on RTRPE without ER Mod.

    There were some changes made.... I forgot. I think you have to have it in a city other then Rome in RTRPE v1.7.
    The skin pack. I think you need to integrate it manually if you want it in vanilla RTRPE. Meaning modding.

    Ah crap, that's bad news . I really like the skin pack. I'd love to see it in other mods. Especially since most skins in RTRPE do not show a good difference between principes and legions.

    Don't know if it will work, but try deleting your map.rwm files by running the "campaign_map_reset" file in your Rome Total war folder.

    It sounds like a problem with sprites, it must be linked to just one or two units. Try to distinguish those units then look for any oddities in the DMB relating to those units.

    If the problem isn't localised to one or two units then your problem is probably more serious and will require more attention, but just try the first suggestion first! Lol

    First off, my compliments for this amazing mod It's exactly what I want. Unfortunately I do have a small problem.
    I keep getting these CTD's that happen before battle's. It looks like some kind of memory problem, because it happens when I fight different kinds of factions. For example: After I've fought Iberia and greece, I want to fight a battle against the seleucids. And then I get a CTD. It's pretty predictable, so should be possible to find some kind of solution. Which brings me to my question.. Is there any?

    i have a problem with my mod... i can't recruit Marsi or Samnite infantry in Ancona, Paestum, and Corfinium nor can I recruit mercenary marsi units. Basically for some reason Roma is the only place where I can recruit infantry at the start of the game and nowhere else... I tried upgrading the buildings to provincial barracks but nothing is available at all!!! I can only get cavalry and missle units

    I've installed everything per the instructions and encountered no installation problems. Just the problem of not being able to recruit any infantry at all. I've also installed prometheus' legions pack as well.


    can anyone shed some light on this problem as to why I can't recruit infantry???

    I'm having a lot of trouble getting my guys promoted to Praetor...I think I have a pretty good grip on how the system works. 4 years of study until it says "you have completed your final year". Tribune for 10 years, then enter the city until I see "former tribune" show up as a trait, then leave the city and join an infantry army in the field. I can almost always get the promotion to legate within a turn or two.

    Praetor is a different matter; Tiberius Brutus, one of the starting "second generation" guys is 53 and meets all the qualifications for Praetor. His profile shows 20 years serves, former legate, and he has been given a field army retinue, which is usually only given to Praetors. Why hasn't he been promoted?

    Also, is there a way to avoid having a guy skip praetor and get consul when Quintus dies? It awarded the second consul job to Fabius Maximus, another "second generation" guy. At the time he had 20 years served and I had him stationed in a city long enough to see "former legate" show up, so that I could then return him to the troops and get praetor. Instead, he got slapped with faction heir, an "undeserved" consul position, and his military service time has stopped accumulating.

    You have to give the romen field army and roman legion ancilliary to another character, then move him for 2-3 turns to a city and then give him an army. Marcus Camillus only meant a character to have one of this ancilliaries for game balance reasons. Of course you can hive him the other ancilliaries afterwards.

    Ah, that would explain. I was trying to keep the legion ancillaries out of the hands of tribunes that didn't deserve them. But I see now that by doing so I have gimped myself!

    AGHHHH one guy got the praetor title, but the other one that is qualified (age 45, the one that I'm really grooming to be my next leader) did not, and is stuck on 20 years served. He is holding none of the ancillaries; I transfered his legionary banner elsewhere. Also, he was given a field army banner earlier, but NOT the title of praetor, which is what I'm after. Is there somewhere to read in depth/detail how to manage this system better?

    Im having problem when I try to start campaign nothing happens it just sends me back to previous page. It works with rtr pe 1.7 but not this.

    I have BI installed I use BI shortcut but added the -mod the menu and custom battles work but not campaign

    Okay, I'm pretty sure it's an install problem. Add "-show_err" to the end of your shortcut's target line and an error message will show up when you exit the game after failing to load a campaign...hopefully.

    ok problem fixed the step by step instalation thing helped. I think not putting show_err caused problem and some installation errors thx for help.

    in my shortcut, -mod has a ":" after it, i'm not sure if this makes any difference. (So it's -mod: )

    I can't really speculate any further but I do remember a similar problem being reported elsewhere in these forums a little while ago, I'll try to find it
