Thoughts on where we are heading?
I respect this guy a lot and ultimately something like that will happen. However it will be decades if not centuries for us to switch from silicon.
He's right in that as chips get smaller they will become hotter. We have 14nm chips in the work (140 helium atoms) with Haswell. Quantum computing is coming along but they're difficult to make and to program. We have quantum chips now, but again they're inneficient and expensive. My personal belief is that as computer power slows down, people will become more innovative and efficient with the power we have now. Case in point is Linux.

actually we will be switching to carbon, and it can happen right now they fixed the final issues all thats left is for IBM / Intel to shrink it thats it
Carbon nanotubes, and silicon carbide designs will be the future, as they allow us to shrink down to just 1 atom channels essentially tweaking but he failed to mention what the tweaks are,
