    Default Freezing problem with new pc.

    hi, i just got a new pc and then i installed Rome. tried a custom battle, all was well until it froze then screen went black the Rome did its loading thingy on the botom and came back again. it keeps doing that. i tried my PC with mount and blade and it did the same thing but after changing the res to 1280 1024 it fixed it.
    i then tried with tome and still freezing. can the res freeze games? can i pc be to new for rome total war?

    my specs:
    Windows 7
    8gb of ram
    amd readeon 6670 1gb
    1.5tb of storage

    please help

    I have said that until I saw Brusilov's specs and Axalon's card.
    Have you activated your copy of Win 7 and install ed all software options? It can always be something in there from a new computer.
    The game code was written when 1280 x 1024 and 1024 x 768 ruled 1920 x 1080 was only a dream.

    Well i haven't updated all software i think. what is causing this you think? like its very frustrating. i have activated win 7 yes also i havent patched it up yet eather

    Update everything. Odds are it's 90% of the problem.

    Hey, i fixed it, the graphics driver wasent installed the i7 was playing the game its self and did a great job lol

    I i got rid of this pc got a newer better one. it seems that the vga was damaged or something on the old one, anyways all is good now

    I play R:TW mods at 2560x1600 without a problem.....

    I've replaced my pair of GTX295s (one was getting a red warning light after a number of hours play of any game and despite having the dust blown out (small amount) and being re-seated still did so) with a EVGA GTX 670 FTW and it runs fine.
