Default Hope CA will read this! What is your opinion?

Hey Guys, I got a few great Ideas I would love to see implemnted in the up coming game Rome 2.
you know in every total war game I've played when you end your turn, these small icons you get on the left hand of the screen that represent news and things that happend
during that period of time called turn, well my 1st Idea is when you click on them instead of a text to read about them, a picture or maybe a video of a servant/General/advisor what ever is the news about
comes up adressing the news to you audibly, it would be as if a servant was addressing his king on what's happening in the world.
Not only these could be audible also lets say you want to find out more information about a building when you right click on it, instead of reading the discriptions on the benefits
and negatives of a pirticular building, you got your advisors and the councel again propobly in a video your advisors comes up to inform you audibly on what are the benefits for
this perticular building and so forth, I think if this could be done in the next Total War Rome 2, it would be a huge step forward and would give character and a total new
    experiance to the game play.

2nd Idea: is regarding battle reinforcements, I love Huge battles and I got a good computer to back it up, but even a monster computer sometimes lags and the idea here is maybe they
can add a function in the prefrences txt, where you dicide on how many army stacks you want on you screen at a time, lets say you pc can handle 2vs2 stacks, you set that up in ur
pref txt, your pc can handle 8vs8 same thing you go to ur prefrences txt and set it up to what your pc can handle.

3rd Idea: deplomacy is not only on your campaign map, but also on the battlefield, before any battles are joined the 2 general meet in the middle to negociate terms, and if they
agree with one another a battle is avoided, I can't remember how many times I played the 1st Rome Total War an army attacked me and when I load the battle
when they see my army aproches, they flee from battle, don't know if it happened to you as well, so we know the computer can reason wisley when it's in disfavor.
Any way these are couple of ideas I thought I'd through them your way and hope for the best

4th Idea: the ability to see your cities on the battlemap without a battle, just like in the 1st Rome Total War

1st idea - while it's off course a constructive idea i'm pretty sure that a lot of players would become
annoyed by that - if they would implement that then the way it was done in S2TW where you
had to extra click somewhere to get access to most of the always repeated news.

2nd idea - could be an easy exploit to prevent having to fight 4 enemy stacks with only 2 of your own.

    3rd idea - i like

4th idea - it was there in rtw1 as you already mentioned - CA either must have had a reason to remove
it or they completely have forgotten it was there imho.

You had to click the "settlement details" button first to be able to see the other one.

How can I send these ideas to CA?
I already posted them on the other thread of suggestions for Rome 2!

Your third idea would be great when attacking cities. If you had the right combo of traits and the city garrison was small, a city might just surrender.

I loved seeing the city on the battle map in the background. I even remember that was not in the original game- it was part of a patch. I have no idea why they don't have that anymore, it seems like a simple thing to do that is cool.

But I hate to be a debbie downer- CA is more concerned with adding new bells and whistles to attract teenage boys to the game series rather than making it playable and getting all the small things right. CA doesn't care if they sell a game that people play for a few weeks or a few years. I'd suggest just being happy you have the first Rome or Med II with a bunch of great mods for those games. Though I am partial to vanilla Rome: BI as being pretty fun.

Its only for Rome 1, click on a city, then click on "settlement details" look to your far left and there should be a few buttons going up/down, click the one that says "Veiw settlement on battlemap".

Great idea. Introducing a few extra options to the pre-battle screen would be a great way to increase immersion. The ability to not fight a losing battle and negotiate your way out or to let an enemy army pay you not to annihilate you or just surrender and come over to your side etc. This can then impact upon the traits and abilities of the general responsible for that army. Take payments from the enemy too often, and your general begins to gain traits that reduce morale of his troops, after all, he's not getting his hands dirty.

Have you posted this in the 'Features you want to see in Rome 2' thread?

    Hello GM,

Some good ideas there. I would suggest, though, that you create a thread for each separately, because as it is a) people will overlook your thread because they don't know what it is about and b) considering your ideas are quite unrelated having four discussions in one thread is confusing and also turns people away.

Considering your ideas are actually worth discussing I thought I should point it out

Pre-battle diplomacy is an interesting possibility, because it would allow CA to involve many more local factors rather than the balance of power at the faction level. For instance, if you face a faction that is twice your size, but you manage to trap its leader in battle with a 5:1 advantage on your side: you ought to be able to exact far more favourable terms than the faction balance suggests.

Thank you guys for your comments, I honestly like the 1st idea most, but they are all good anyway.
Muizer, intersting comment I am wondering if CA would realy concider these ideas, or am I just wasting time and effort? either way I'll do what you suggested to have a thread for each idea I have, what do you have in mind for the Titles to come out flashy and attract attention you tell me
To continue why I like the 1st idea the most is techenicaly to make you feel like you are real in your thrown room making decision with you advisors around you, and when you look at the world's map, it would be as if you are looking at a partchment map made of goet skin or what ever they used to draw maps on back then, the armies on the map could look like they are a small little sculptures, and when you move them you actualy see you hand moving them, I honesly don't know how far they can get with that but I am sure they got some gifted people working there.

CA have indicated they want to make the player feel more involved at a human level. I think ideas 1, 3 and 4 could be relevant in that context. I don't think they'll necessarily listen in the sense that they will take suggestions and implement them as such. However, if they read them at all, it may inspire them or confirm notions they already had, in which case they'll still contribute to the future development.
