Favorite Unit

Well, thats it up there in the title. We have topics for everyones favorite faction, but whats everyones favorite unit? I'm sure most people have one for every faction, I for instance Love Rangers for Ordona, Dune Archers, both mounted and on foot, for the Gerudo, and a tie between Ironclad and Vanguards for Hyrule.

Well, what about the rest of you? also feel free to throw in the unit you hate the most.

Unit I love the most - Emerald Archers for the Kokiri. I don't care that they are OP in melee, they are still epic and they are Saria's bodyguard unit.

Unit I hate the most - Ruby Guards for the Gorons. The sight of these things on the battlefield turns the battle from an epic battle to a touch-and-go skirmish war. They are very difficult to bring down (unless you have big-octo battleplatforms or some elephant equivalent to that) and near unbeatable in melee. You have to skirmish them with ranged units for a long time to beat them down.

Ruby Guards are #3 on my hate list, with Darunia as #2. Armogohmas can just wipe out half you force single handedly, and that makes them the most hated unit in the game for me.

My favorite has got to be my beloved beloved Miniblins.

It's just to much fun to send them in endless waves and watch them gleefully stab all of my enemies to death.

Most hated = Scythe Lords.

Scythe Lords can occupy a vital position in any invading Stalfos Army. High melee Offense and Defense give them good staying power in melee. Their ranged attacks are devastating, bringing enemy morale down like a rock and starting the conflict in our favor! I've seen frontline soldiers turn tails before the battle begins from the fire attacks I've unleashed.

Of course, one must compensate for their small numbers, but that is something easily accomplished by most every other stal-unit.

iron knuckles, so wonderfully designed by Neph they're the most fun to watch kicking ass on the battlefield, I also feel that the medieval 2 fighting animations go really well with how an iron knuckle fights in oot

though my choices are more based on what i take a liking to and not how they perform in battle.
and my most hated has to be those damn zora mage cannons, they shouldnt be that powerful, its just too much.

Most hated: Goat Lords, with their numbers and charge/armour stats. by the time you've found the units to stop a couple cards of them you've devoted half your army to the job and messed up your lines beyond repair.

Because if we're talking Campaign here, and I'm fighting the Dominion or the Regime, then I will have conquered enough lands to throw several stacks of Miniblins at my foes.

I can kind of see the point here. For an upkeep of 50/turn they are a great choice for a public order garrison, and in combat they are pretty well motivated and capable for sword fodder.

My least favourite to fight is anything with an accurate, piercing, area of affect ranged attack - but if I had to pick something, I'd go for Twili Sorceresses. In a ranged duel, my archers/crossbows/guns will deal with them eventually, but when they hit my mainline infantry, or worse, my beloved cavalry... *shudder*. It's not cool, not cool at all.

You know... I don't think there's any unit I really outright hate... well, maybe enemy siege equipment when I play Darknut or Gohma, but still...

well, except units I can't put into my army but that's a given in any RTS I play. I like to have all the toys at my disposal, you see.

^Efficient for their cost, eh? I'll concede their advantage over Gohma Larva in such respects, having higher base stats and not requiring a chanting queen to keep them in line. Maybe not as easily amassed, but helpful nonetheless.
