WLAN Connection but no Internet. No IPv4 and 6 Connection.

Hey guys. Maybe someboday is able to help me here. After my vacations i came home and my Router wasn't active. That happends some time and so i restarted the damn thing with seperating the powercable and connecting the thing again. Finally my Win7 Laptob has the WLAN Connection which showed up as excellent. Short after that i realized that i could go to Internet with this Connection. After further stuying i saw that my IPv4 and 6 has no Internetconnection.

Is that something that is realated to my Laptob (tryed 2, both had the same issue) or with my Router what i guess?

You can try pinging the router to see if there's connectivity.

search for a program called cmd.exe and run it. It will open a black MSDOS console where you may write commands. In that window type ipconfig and press enter.

A lot of lines should appear. Check the first ones for a line that reads IPv4 address and see if there's an ip address (a set of 4 numbers with dots between them. example "192.168.0.5")
Below that line there should be a line that rads subnet mask, and below that, another line that reads default gateway or something similar, followed by ip address.

type a new command. "ping X.X.X.X" where X.X.X.X is the ip address of the default gateway. That will make you computer send IP protocol packages to the router, to verify connectivity. If the results are successful it means that the computer and the router have no trouble communicating, and would most likely mean that there is something wrong with the router. I would suggest that if that's the case you contact you ISP's tech support.
