corruption
i play as pahlava in m/vh and i have conquered all the asian territories(apart from india and the saka steppes) and the nile area. although that my expeditionary forces include only general units (zero expenditure) and my garisson forces include onl akontista and pantodapoi (very cheap units) i have serious financial problems. i suspect that the problem is the corruption (it costs me 33.000 mnai when my total expenditure is 130.000 mnai)
. firstly is there any way i can deal with this problem?
secondly when i occupy a settlement i dont build military occupation, does this cause the corruption or other disadvantages?
thirdly, conquering greece ( which is very strong since thhe koinon ellinon is very powerful) will help my economy?
sorry for my english i am not from an anglo-speaking country

Re: corruption
Corruption can be decreased with law upgrades, which come with buildings (garrison buildings, and some temple buildings for ex.) and characters with law traits.
Military occupation is a must to build in new territories. Not only does it also give law, but it is needed to build government buildings which are further needed to develop the settlement infrastructure.
Conquering new settlements is always good for your economy.

Re: corruption
Also, consider relocating your capitol. The more centrally located it is, the less corruption there will be as the main determinant in how much corruption you have is how far away a given city is from your capitol. Though, if you have an 'economic heartland' to your empire which is disproportionately productive, I'd put my capitol as near as possible to it.

Re: corruption
A couple thoughts that may help:
-You say your expeditionary force is all Family Members -- some of them may have traits that could help govern your main cities better and thus reduce corruption. They thus may serve you better in the cities instead of in battle.
-Just wanted to reiterate what was said earlier, since you said "i dont build military occupation" -- if that is the case then you can not have government buildings and you can not build those structures that will reduce corruption and increase wealth.
-I know you think you have a corruption problem, but what you really have is a money problem. Make sure you are building farms, roads, ports and markets as much as money, time and public order will allow. These will help you get to a point where you can afford a little corruption.

My experience as Lusotanni in North Africa and Italy has been riddled with errors. One correction involved destroying any "Wondrous Temple of [Whatever]" as long as there isn't any public order benefit from it (it'll tell you when you click on it). Once you destroy it you can put in your own temples at considerable public order benefit. Once I realized this, permanent occupation of faraway lucrative cities became possible.

Re: corruption
It's quite simple really, you cannot build up your cities while having a large standing army and a lot of defencive units in every town. You have to take chances. Reduce your defensive units, focus all your strenght on the enemy's weak points, attack, consolidate (yes, that means disbanding units you don't need). Once you're consolidated, move your troops to the next town while securing your flanks (strategic and tactical) - repeat as necessary.

Re: corruption
Corruption is best avoided by building government and sanitation buildings. Also a good governor help some if right traits. If i dont remember it wrong having high taxation is helpful aswell, atleast you get better governors if taxation is higher. If you make money you should also spend them, having to much money in your treasury is not good for corruption aswell. From your threads it seems that you are blitzing the map and perhaps your game lacks abit of micro management?
