With the minor faction, I thing they're awesome and would love for morre to be added I'm not sure about everyone else though.

And with the declaration system, think that it would be cool Iif all factions except fr Martell and Greyjoy could declare, because mods are about making our own story in a way, while following the lore in another way. (I hope that made sense )

After a few days of silence, here's a little preview of the work that's been done:

Very nice, but what is on Bloodraven's head?

Regarding Bloodraven, it's supposed to be his helmet. I was looking to portray the graphic novel's depiction of him

His helmet in the graphic novel:

The same with Daemon's strat model, I got the idea from the graphic novel. It's been very helpful in terms of visual help

To update everyone with work, I've been working on some text files and such, adding in new characters families, got the dornish to use the models from KORAH and lastly I've added with the very basic form of a wildling faction so far. So a fair bit to look forward to Will post pics in a few days.

I'm afraid I'm not one for technical help, so I can't help you out there :S

Aside from that, this is a quick announcement about some more changes I've done to the mod.

Namely in the addition of three new factions:

House Yronwood - Allied to Blackfyre and an extra conflict down south in Dorne.
House Lothston - Allied to Blackfyre and an extra threat to the crownlands and the arryns to the northeast (if they choose to side against Daemon).
House Reyne - Allied to Blackfyre and formed up of the northern castles of the Westerlands (including Banefort and The Crag)

Also, I've implemented the map from Fire and Blood and also a very high number of new strat models. Pictures will be uploaded this weekend but apart from that I can still say there is plenty to be done.

Tread carefully. Adding more factions to Fire and Blood caused major problems for hotseats

Also, please in future drop me a message asking if you can use the map, as Korpskog and I sunk many hours into perfecting it :-p

Why not just make them a part of the Blackfyre faction? What settlements will the Blackfyre faction hold then?

Part 2 seems to be corrupted. My computer will not open it.

I would say to wait for the next version, as it will be out soon and will be vastly superior to the previous.

To Badger, I'm deeply sorry about that :S I was unaware that I had to ask, I promise not to do it again but I really do appreciate the use of your map, it's marvelous work The same goes to everyone else that I have done the same to (there are a number of you I know), your work truly is stunning and my dishonest thievery has honest intentions Still, I won't take without asking anymore.

In regards to the preview I promised, I've decided to delay it as recent developments in the modding have provided something truly tantalizing and has made me decide that they would be better saved for later. Later meaning, I intend to show off a VERY large preview that I hope will be pleasing to all.

It would be worth asking the creator of Fire and Blood if you can use his Targ banners. I copied them over from his mod and changed the names of the files, and it makes it more immersive. I'm not sure if me doing this this is considered stealing, but I'm under the impression it's all fair play if it is for private modding. Anyway, let me know what you think! I'd hate to be doing anything wrong.

In which folder of the mod are the banners?
I want to do this myself and I know where are the shields and skins, but no idea where are the banners...

Hey Eoghan Wolfkin, when will you release the next Blackfyre Rebellion version?

I highly enticipate it and plan on joining a HS with it as Blackfyre . Last question, will you seperate the Blacfyre faction to three? I highly recommend you don't, there really is no reason to seperate Blackfyre to House Reyne House Yronwood and House Darry, cause then Blackfyre will not have like any settlements in the beginning, and also it causes major problems gameplay wise

Just put them all under House Blackfyre and create family trees for each of them

A release is coming very close, however, it seems I've been saying that in all of my recent posts and then I discover more to add so I won't give anything definite for now

About the faction splitting, after testing the campaign a few times to see what problems lie where, I found that the Reyne faction are in a very awkward position and my attempts to balance them broke the lore somewhat and only made their position that much more awkward. Because of this, they're not going to be in the final version. Now, I'm adamant that Yronwood shall remain as they provide good conflict down south with the Martells and are also a factor for the Targaryens to either send relief down there or to keep all their strength near the capital.

Yet, with House Lothston I'm conflicted, as they suffer from some of the same 'out-of-placeness' that Reyne suffered from but keeping them in would be akin to letting the player be House Frey or Bolton in the Fire and Blood submod (The Lothstons were just as treacherous as those houses). So for them, I'll let the community decide I guess.

About the concerns for the Blackfyre settlements, so far I've placed them in Oldstones, Stone Hedge, Three Towers and Sisterton. I hope to edit the map in some way before a release so those are not final for now, although finding definite settlements for the Blackfyres is very difficult as I can find ZERO on what lands they held themselves as a powerbase, so again some community input would greatly appreciated here (Alot of this so far has been primarily head-canon)

Lastly, I intend for every noble family in game to have a family tree outside of their ruling factions'. So no worries there. I hope that I'll be able to keep my word on the big preview to be shown soon yet real life has become a hassle recently. Apologies to those out there dying for a glimpse.

As to the concerns about Blackfyre settlements, here's a list of their supporters and their lands if it helps. (I'll leave out the ones mentioned in your last point, i.e Sisterton, Stone Hedge, Three Towers.

House Lothston - It's a safe bet Harrenhal acted as the main base for Daemon Blackfyre's host. (It's not confirmed but it seems the logical choice)
House Shawney - It stands to reason they would rally with Daemons host. (I'm unsure of their holdings, somewhere in The Riverlands)
House Peake - They hold the castle of Starpike and once owned two other castles, before they were taken from them after Daemons defeat. (Starpike & the two other castles are located in The Reach, but i don't know where)
House Osgrey - They hold the castle of Standfast in The Reach. (I don't know exactly where)
House Strickland - I've totally no clue where their lands where once located. (Somewhere in The Reach)

If i may recommend, rather than giving houses like Lothston, Reyne and Yronwood their own faction, you simply give them their own family tree under the control of House Blackfyre. Otherwise they will be destroyed in a short number of turns, Blackfyre will not have the income needed to survive its enemy's and will shortly follow them in defeat. Yronwood under control of House Blackfyre can still provide good conflict with the Martells under player control, rather than getting utterly destroyed by Tyrell and Martell from both sides. Yornwoods castles and income would greatly aid the Blackfyre faction, under AI control as its own faction they will be destroyed by the forces of Tyrell & Martell and give Blackfyre nothing. I'll enjoy the final product i am sure, but Blackfyre's chances look slimmer and slimmer the more income you take from them by giving minor houses their own factions. (seems like a waste to me, but by all means do what you think works best)

Looking forward to seeing what you get done.

    Couldn't agree more with Soul

I am playing a Blackfyre campaign which is super fun . I highly recommend, NO NEW FACTIONS!

Being that Blackfyre is at war with everyone already taking lands and holdings from them would just make it worst.

Give the minor houses their own family tree but not their own faction

I know how much the minor houses in FaB messed up Gameplay.
