    Default Guard Mode Abuse?

In EB 1 as the Romani (or any other infantry faction really) I could abuse guard mode and take on overwhelming numbers because my men will never get tired.

However, the MTW 2 engine always puts units in the "fighting" status even in guard mode, which means they get tired anyways.

Any plans for the devs to put in infinitely-fresh guard mode?

Wow, you can do that? My men get tired over time.

Yeah you turn on guard mode and let your men stand there. Don't tell them to attack. The enemy will charge them and get initial kills but will eventually become exhausted. Your men will fight back the whole time, but stay at fresh. Must be a RTW engine quirk.

I doubt the team has any plans to bring back an unrealistic exploit from RTW tbh.

This and why would you even want some easy unrealistic exploit, the games not even hard and if you were struggling then just turn down the difficulty.
    The game.

Men should tire, also in Guard mode.

When I tried that, it still said they're fighting.

they get tired out i think a little bit more slowly. maybe that's just because they don't bother to chase fleeing enemies though. i don't know.

Nah, in RTW they weren't tired even after ages whereas they do tire slower in M2TW, but they do tire.

I'm not sure, i use ALX aswell but i long ago stopped using guard mode because of the unrealistic advantage in RTW so when i started with EB on ALX i never used it.

You can still use guard mode without using the exploit. Just click on the enemy when they start fighting and they'll tire like usual! Guard mode will still keep them from pursuing if the enemy routs, and although it requires a bit of micro at the start of the fight, it's better than losing a unit halfway across the map on some merry chase
