Rage of the Dark Gods sound effects missing

I have a really strange bug right now with rage of the dark gods. I installed the gigantus's version of RoDG 1.5 and the patch thereafter, but i dont have sound effects. For example, when you start up RoDG you would normally hear these sounds for when you click and button and especially when you exit the game. All of these buttons normally have sounds, but for me they dont. In addition, i tried to play custom game where i was testing the new english voices where i pittied whole army of ork boyz vs sorcerers ( hehe ) and i noticed while the voices, and music were perfect, no sounds for the bolts casted by the tzeentch sorcerers on discs where heard. However, when i zoomed in really close to the ork boyz i could hear footsteps but they were REALLY quiet comapred to the blaring music. When i played the main campaign no sound were heard when clicking on units in the campaign map, but as always, the voices could be heard oncemore.

I also play another game you guys might be familiar with called Dayz, and while i dont want to focus on this game, a similiar event occured there. I can barely hear any sound effects in dayz, just like the event with the ork boyz running. I have to turn everything to max and optimize the sounds to hear even a bit of walking or gunshots in that game.

I feel that its probably an issue with my sound card, but im really at a loss at what to do atm. I was really looking forward to start a sylvania campaign but as of right now thats on hold

* yes i checked my sound, nothing is muted and all the sound levels in the audio settings to the right are normal*

Verified steam cache on medieval 2 total war and kingdoms, it found 7 missing files in total and redownloaded them. I reinstalled Rage of the Dark Gods and fixed it.
