DOB: May 14, 1984
Country of Residence: United States of America
Nationality: American
Political Compass Result:- Economic Left/ Right 0 Social Libertarian/ Authoritarian -5.18
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: far left on social issues, left on environment, right on fiscal policy
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): libertarian mostly, but not always
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: Not really. I tend to vote democrats for president and republican for other offices (e.g. governors). I'd vote republican more often if the party was not hijacked by the religious right
Abortion: No problems with it at all. It is a personal decision
War in Iraq: Disagreed with it but at the time thought it would take ~20 years to be able to answer "was it worth it"
Marijuana: Completely legal and regulated like alcohol. All drugs should be legal and regulated (some harsher than others). A person should have the right to put in their bodies what they wish
Firearms: Complicated. In my utopia --banned. Don't favor that in the U.S. though, it is not feasible.
Gay Marriage: Without a doubt. Even polygamy should be allowed.
Gay adoption: Yes
Religion in schools: Religion should not be promoted. It can be discussed in school, but as objectively as possible.
Death penalty: Absolutely. If you cannot be a productive member of society you should be removed. However, it does not appear to be working. Fails as a deterrent and costs more than imprisonment.
