    : Not really
    Religion: Islam

Abortion: No, after the third phase
War in Iraq: No, but finish the job since they're there.

Marijuana: Yes, for medical use and personal, but with regulation.
    Firearms: Keep it illegal
    Gay Marriage: Yes
Gay Adoption: No, just because I can't help but wonder what kind of life the child would have to live through.
Religion in school: A separate class or course, as in different class for different religions, that students may choose to attend if they wish to gain knowledge on. although it would count as an open credit not a compulsory
Death Penalty: Only for the worst of crimes.

Obama (outside opinion): Meh, his economic strategies aren't getting us anywhere at the moment, but his foreign policies is a plus.

Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Minute left-wing
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political grouping: Minarcho-Mixed
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political party: No
    Religion: None (Agnostic weak-atheist)
    Abortion: For
    War in Iraq: Against
Marijuana: Legalized for all purposes and taxed.
Drugs in General: Legal for all purposes and taxed.
    Firearms: Apathetic
Education: Grade school, high school should be free of any remote charges and college/universities should give aids to poor students - ultimately they should also be socially oriented. Quality of education should be high priority but not the only one.
Imperialism: Immoral if motive is resource and power
Communism: Economic flaws are very pronounced - otherwise would be a fantastic idea.
Socialism: A theoretically good ideological idea that could function with a pragmatic, democratic, minimal-state type of implementation. It should never go along with authoritarianism or state absolution. Individual and collective freedoms are of equal priority.
Capitalism: Good for the people if corporations have some regulations (but not too many) and socialistic ideals are implemented. Fantastic at generating resources but promotes selfishness, greed, over-consumption and complements imperialism too nicely for my liking.
    Gay Marriage: For
    Gay adoption: For
Religion in schools: Be completely apathetic
    Religious Attitude: Apathetic
    Death penalty: Against
Obama + Biden: Obama is a centerist who leans slightly to the right-wing. Promises have been broken. Original health care plans bill were wrongfully abolished (should have been passed with full-fledged public option).
UN: Has little power and effectiveness but was a good idea
Patriotism/Nationalism: Fervently against Nationalism, find Patriotism annoying
    Global Warming: Accepted but unconcerned.
    Genetically Modified Crops: For.
Organic Foods: Useless since our artificial modifications can be more practical, healthier and cleaner.
Animals: Should be treated with kindness.
China: Result of the failure of Maoism. Relations are important.
Russia: Result of the failure of Stalinism. Relations are important.
    EU: Relations are important.
Healthcare: Should be universal and provided without cost
Law: Emphasis on personal (individual)/innocent-group freedoms and regulation to prevent infringement on personal freedoms. All organizations and institutions however need to be regulated
Torture: Ultimately wrong for any reason
    Science vs Ethics: Balanced.

Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Fairly far left by the American definition
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political grouping: Progressives, social democrats
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political party: No American party fully embraces my beliefs. The Democrats are closer than the Republicans, for what that's worth.

Religion: Irrelevant in my life, far past the point of being self-consciously atheist
Abortion: A complex, hot-button issue that the government should neither prohibit or encourage. A deeply personal decision.
War in Iraq: Based on sloppy, negligent, even fabricated intelligence; illegal according to international law; poorly planned past the initial invasion; a black hole of money and lives; destabilizing to the entire region
    Marijuana: Legal and regulated.
Firearms: Freely available for citizens in good standing, provided they are certified in safe handling and proper storage.
Gay Marriage: Got no problems with it.
    Gay adoption: Sure, why not?
Religion in schools: The study of religion as a phenomenon is crucial to understanding much of society and history, but religion should never be taught as a source of morality
Death penalty: Nope, never. Deprivation of life as punishment for an offense is purely retributional.

Country of Residence: varies, (I travel a ton)
    Country of Citizenship: USA, Canada
Ethnicity: White (NE European: Polish, Lithuanian, Finnish etc)
    Political Compass Result:

    Economic Left/Right: 2.38
    Social Libertarian/ Authoritarian: -6.05

Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Pragmatic Libertarian
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): Market Liberal, radical Environmentalist.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: No.
Religion: N/A. If you simply HAVE to saddle me with some label, call me a Skeptic. I'm one of those obnoxious materialist atheists you always hear about.
Political/Ideological Heroes: Fareed Zakaria, Muhammad Yunus, Derrick Jensen (sorta).

Globalization/free trade: strongly support, but with a modicum of environmental, and fair play regulation.
Immigration: strongly support provided that the host country's infrastructure can handle them, and societal expectations are made clear.
Multiculturalism:For me, a position to the contrary would naturally imply Monoculturalism, which to me is one of the few universal tenants of the genuinely evil regimes in human history, from the Nazis to the Khmer Rouge. Of course there are certain cultural norms that need to be adhered to in order for society to be functional, but this has nothing to do with a rejection of Multiculturalism.
Abortion: Yes, legally speaking, but vehemently no personally.
War in Iraq: No initially, and strongly no for the pretenses that Bush gave. But a hesitant yes, for the sake of the Iraqis.
    War in Afghanistan: Yes.
Marijuana: Yes. While I have never really changed my position on this it has become more important to me lately. I use to consider this a minor issue, really only pushed by ultra-libertarians and potheads, but it has become increasingly clear the the corruption, stupidity and suffering that the federal government's position on this has sewn is prolific, and could be solved quite easily, if only the right people would take a stand.
Firearms: Yes. pro regulation provided it does not infringe on the 2nd amendment, and can be shown to be effective.
Gay Marriage: Yes. Ideal solution: No government involvement in marriage at all, simply provide civil unions, for any two consenting adults. Marriages can by done by whoever (Churches, Friends, imams, witches, whatever) and have no legal standing.
Gay Adoption: Yes. Jesus, are we that cruel?
Religion in school: No, in the context of promoting one religion as true, but as an actual educational pursuit, yes.
Death Penalty: No, unless it can be shown that said criminal is a high escape risk, and will kill again (serial killers, political mass murderers etc). Never for revenge.

Obama: I voted for him, and may do so again, I need to do more research, and figure out if his economic policies are really as crazy as have been alleged.
Israeli/Palestinian Conflict: I support both the Palestinian and Israeli people, and feel both have legitimate claims to the land. I hope the best for both, and condemn any action of aggression from either side.
    EU: don't give a
UN: For an international body, but the UN is a joke. Perhaps a reform is in order.
Global Warming: Real as it gets, and anyone who says otherwise is either a brilliant paleoclimatologist, or totally ignorant to the the science of climatology. That said it's threat may be somewhat overstated, but getting off fossil fuels has more benefits than just curtailing AGCC.
Genetically Modified Crops: Yes, but with careful monitoring for the evolution of a super bug.
Animal Rights: For the humane treatment of all animals (including ones that I may eat), but not against the consumption of meat. Pro-hunting, pro-endangered species.
    Stem Cell Research: Yes.

Political/Ideological Heroes: Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, Václav Klaus, Ron Paul, Nigel Farage, Juan Carlos I.

Abortion: Should be legal, but paid and these women should not be helped in later in vitro fertilization. Responsibility is crucial in sex.

War in Afghanistan: Against. Afghanistan could have lived under Taliban. Moreover, why should USA invade?

Religion in schools: Children should be taught about all religions at school. Particular religion instruction at private lessons in church or privately in school (not all churches and religions have access to teaching places).
Death penalty: Strongly agree, however only on several very violent/dangerous crimes.

    Obama
: Didn´t support him, if he doesn´t trigger a civil war or at least assasination attempt, he is better than I thought. Strongly disagree with his socialist economy and his naive foreign policy. Anyway, he managed to obtain second term only because GOP was unable to elect someone with as much as half brain.
EU: Bureaucratic unnecessary institution, trying to implement the most stupid reforms ever. Moreover, sanctuary for red/green scum. Generally, a joke. However, I have nothing against a zone of common trade.
UN: For an international body (no bloody federation, EU-style, though!), but the UN is a joke. Perhaps a reform is in order.
Global Warming: If it is occuring, it is not people´s fault. I support Vaclav Klaus´ stance on it. Moreover, I think that scientists are pressed upon.
Genetically Modified Crops: Yes, but with careful monitoring for the evolution of a super bug. No patents though, crops are crops.
Animal Rights: For the humane treatment of all animals (including ones that I may eat), but not against the consumption of meat. Pro-hunting, pro-endangered species.
Stem Cell Research: Killing humans to save other humans doesn´t sound really great. About adult stem cells, OK.

Israeli/Palestinian Conflict: Annoyed with Palestinians using unfair bombing tactics and then crying "Israeli genocide". However, no Israeli state should be estabilished until the Jewish messiah comes, therefore favouring Palestinian claim, but with proper care of the Jewish minority. One-state solution.
Taiwan: Independent state by now, and I doubt that if China turns to democracy, it will oppose union/federation.
Kosovo: No way, Albanians were just breeding faster then Serbs, this is no real foundation for state. Moreover, it´s just 2nd Albania.
Tibet and East Turkestan: Stop Hans (ethnic Chinese) from settling there and respect their authonomy and even breakaway.
Kurdistan: Undecided, maybe authonomy is in place
Abkhazia and South Ossetia: Against their independence. Just Russian expansion. With new Georgian government, gradually shifting towards Georgian point of view.
Independence for Scotland and Wales: Dubious. I would love to see them independent as monarchies, but I just don't believe Scotland or Wales could survive, economically, as independent nations.
Northern Ireland joining with Ireland: For.
Arab Spring: Mostly supportive, but don´t be so enthusiastic about it, it also brought problems (for example treatment of Christians in post-rev Egypt).
Libya: Supporter of Senussi dynasty, hater of Gaddafi. The West did the worst it could by reacting ambiguously. After Gaddafi´s death, go for monarchy, dear Libyans!
Southern Sudan: Well, looks quite unprepared to face its problems, but generally, pro-independence.
Russia: One of my oral history respondents (Greek refugee in Czech Rep.) told me: "Give a Russian a pocket knife and he wants to be a General already." - So painfully true. We have our experience (1968 invasion), so personally strongly against Russian expansionist policies towards neighbours and chauvinistic policies towards autonomous republics inside Russian Federation.
North Korea: To hell with this stupid relict of Stalinism. One Korea, though not dominated by Southern political elites. South will have to allow time for the North to catch up with participation. And no bloody war this time, just wait until North collapses. It will come sooner or later.
Azawad: Pro-independence for Touaregs, however without Islamist government. Keep it national, guys.
Syria: While I do not support Asad (he should be tried for genocide, really), the Islamist dudes do not offer a fair perspective for the minorities. See Arab spring a few rows above.
