Abortion: Legal, but should be discouraged unless for medical reasons.

Looks like I've shifted further to the left recently.

    DOB: January 2nd, 1992
    Country of Residence: USA
    Nationality: American
    Political Compass Result:
    Economic Left/Right: 0.50
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.18
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Center-right
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): None that exist at the moment; though I'd like to say I'm a neoconservative, not in the 'war hawk' sense but in my own way.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: Registered Republican, but otherwise not really - I'll vote for whoever I think is best for the country.
    Religion: Methodist

Abortion: Opposed, except in case of rape, fatal birth defects like anancephaly or life-threatening risks to the mother. Personal convenience isn't and will never be a satisfactory reason to end a human life in my books.
    War in Afghanistan: Pro 110%.
War in Iraq: Pro; Bush should've used a straight-up humanitarian justification rather than hiding behind the WMD claims.
Marijuana: Treat it like alcohol; legalize it, then tax it. Everyone wins except the drug dealers.
    Firearms: 2nd Amendment baby.
Gay Marriage: The government should allow civil unions, churches can decide whether or not to marry gay couples themselves. The state shouldn't concern itself with what goes on in the people's bedrooms.
Gay adoption: For, as long as the couple are proven to be competent parents.
Religion in schools: Teach about all religions, don't promote one over the others.
Death penalty: For, in extreme cases that have resisted rehabilitation. No point, economically or otherwise, in keeping irredeemable monsters alive.

Euthanasia: If someone is suffering from an excruciating, incurable condition and all treatments have failed, and they themselves want to go through with it...yes.
Immigration: For, though immigrants should integrate into society.
Taxation: Keep lower and middle-class taxes low, but jack up taxes on the extremely wealthy; the strongest shoulders should bear the heaviest loads, after all. I don't hate the rich or any such ridiculous nonsense, but it makes far more sense that a man making $10,000 be taxed 5 or 10% ($500-1,000) while someone making $1,000,000 be taxed at 70-80% ($700-800k); he can soak it up and still live surrounded by luxuries the former man could only dream of, while still injecting more money into the government treasury. A flatter income distribution is ideal for promoting consumer intake of products, to boot.
The Military: Let's face it, our defense spending is far too high.

Obama: Pro. He isn't ideal but he remain the lesser evil compared to the Republicans of today, who have proven willing to flush the world economy down the toilet for political points.
UN: Sometimes good, sometimes...not so much.
USA: A great country, but definitely not perfect, and I have no problem with pointing out the problems here. After all, a true patriot must be able to point out and criticize his country's flaws so they can be fixed, right?
EU: I'm not European, and I have no real opinion on it anyway.
    Israel/Palestine: A two-state solution is in order.
Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: While I don't think it's as serious as some others do, I agree it's an actual problem.
Genetically Modified crops: For, as long as they remain safe.
Animal Rights: For. There's no excuse for being a sadist towards animals without reason.
Stem Cell Research: Absolutely for, as long as embryonic stem cells aren't involved.

Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Outside of it.
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): Anarchism (is it?)
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political party: No
Religion: Atheist (maybe a little open to the unexplainable)

Abortion: I don't have a totally formed point of view, but it should certainly be legal in cases of rape, risk of death and maybe other accidents.
    War in Iraq: Against.
    Marijuana: Should be legalized.
Firearms: In a perfect world they should be illegal. In our, they should be legal.
    Gay Marriage: Should be legalized.
    Gay adoption: Should be legalized.
Religion in schools: The student should be able to choose to attend or not the class, and it should focus various religions. The most varied possible.
    Death penalty: Against.

Obs: The answers above considering, of course, that some sort of government necessarily exists.

Ha! I knew Gandhi was was a right-winged authoritarian.

Two-dimensional politics ftw. Guess that's why they included just one question about the environment, zero about nature, and 100000 about sex.

    Nationality: Swedish
    Political Compass Result:
    Economic Left/Right: -7.00 (lol WTF)
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.03
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Right
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): Social conservative/nationalist. Don't agree with the test at all. I am conservative without idealizing the free market. The test is too americanized.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: Nay.
    Religion: Protestant

Abortion: No, OK in case of rape or mother's life being endangered. Not sure about legislation against it, however if mother's life or rape not involved, it shouldn't be officially supported by the state.
    War in Afghanistan: For.
    War in Iraq: Against.
    Marijuana: Against.
Firearms: Allowed under license and if needed for hunting, sports, law enforcement/military or in extreme cases self defense.
Gay Marriage: For civil unions - marriage is for man and woman.
Gay adoption: Absolutely against. Completely unacceptable from a developmental psychological point of view - other opinions are based from ignorance or pure speculation quite simply .
Religion in schools: All religions represented with the state religion recieving a tiny bit more focus.
Death penalty: For in cases of overwhelming evidence and extreme crimes. Especially relevant for repeat offenders of extremely violent crime. Otherwise a proponent of work camps and far longer prison sentences for violent crime in Sweden. Would like to see much harsher environs for convicts here as well. No more porn for you mr. pedo.

Euthanasia: No. Okay to shut down life support.
Immigration: Assimilation and integration then yes.
Taxation: High taxes are good, especially for the rich part of society. As long as they work towards public health care, law enforcement and military.
The Military: Sweden needs a very strong army to remain independent. In this example it's essential that Sweden starts pooling large amounts of resources into an armed force that can protect it's large territory and its interests abroad. Sweden is a small country that needs to be prepared for security challenges in its sphere of influence. Deterrence is a relevant term here.

    UN: Ineffecient but essential.
USA: Positive but guarded towards it's embrace of capitalism.
EU: An asset and a threat - the cooperation is essential to the well being of Europe, but we shouldn't proceed further than that.
Russia: One of the greater threats to the free world - a complicated matter. Should be monitored carefully by NATO and the West.
Iran: Heavy embargo, impose as large sanctions as possible without invoking the wrath of the East.
    Israel/Palestine: Israel.
Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: Too hyped but may constitute a threat. There are other environmental threats that are more acute which are passing under the radar because of global warming.
    Genetically Modified crops: Against.
Animal Rights: Don't want my food to suffer in vain guys.
Stem Cell Research: For as long as embryonic stem cells are not involved. No one has the right to parasitize on another human life like in the case of embryonic stem cell treatment.

Tbh, socially conservative and for a centralized, strong government. This however shouldn't place me in the extreme left part of things. I don't agree with american conservatism and its association with egocentered capitalism.

    Nationality: Welsh
    Political Compass Result: Economic Left/Right: -6.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.64
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Left
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): Civic nationalist and social democrat
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political party: Plaid Cymru
    Religion: Agnostic atheist

Abortion: Legal up until ~20 weeks. I'm generally uneasy with the whole topic though.
War in Afghanistan: For the initial intervention; against the nation-building cluster thereafter.
War in Iraq: Firmly against. Very pleased that it's over, for most of us at least.
    Marijuana: Full legalization.
    Firearms: For strict regulation.
    Gay Marriage: For.
    Gay adoption: For.
Religion in schools: Kids should be taught about religion, but not a religion. Secularism is at its most important in the classroom. Absolutely against pseudoreligious assemblies.
    Death penalty: Against.

UN: Essential but seems a bit impotent.
EU: Pro-EU, but skeptical about its apparent disregard for democracy in recent years and keen to avoid a US of E scenario.
Israel / Palestine: For a two state solution on 1967 borders. In more broad terms, though, I'm for both Israelis and Palestinians shutting the up and learning to live with each other.
USA: In all honesty, even after the past 10 years, the US is still a force for good in the world. Its policy of backing Israel to the hilt despite everything, however, is doing harm. Needs to let its principles get in the way of political expediency a bit more.
Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: Very likely underhyped. Needs serious action.
Genetically Modified crops: For. GM crops will be essential in feeding an overpopulated planet.
Animal Rights: Obviously for. Free range > Battery farmed and all that.
    Stem Cell Research: For.

Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: No
Religion: None, and no belief in gods/spirits/unicorns/Loch Ness monster/things that go bump in the night.

Abortion: Should be legal for a certain time during pregnancy.
War in Iraq: In favour of overthrowing despots, but undecided on how the Iraq War turned out and against the fabrication of justification.
Marijuana: Should be legalised, up to the level of tobacco and alcohol.
Firearms: Heavily restricted and heavily regulated.
    Gay Marriage: For gay marriage.
    Gay adoption: For gay adoption.
Religion in schools: Don't see how it benefits children to learn about religions at the state's expense.
    Death penalty: Against.

UN: Very valuable, needs reform in order to be more powerful.
    EU: Good concept, bad implementation.
Israel / Palestine: Two state solution.
USA: Can't think of what to say really, you could get a worse global hegemon, even though the whole political landscape in the USA is a bit odd.
Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: Clueless, but protecting the enviroment can't be a bad idea.
Genetically Modified crops: For, unless definitive proof of adverse effects can be produced.
    Animal Rights: To some extent.

Abortion:STRONGLY AGAINST, IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (See religion above)
Obama:Against him and all he stands for.
Firearms:For, but we need more intensive psych tests whan semiauto assault rifles are being sold. Newtown was terrible, and shouldn't happen again.
Marijuana:Sort of against, but if legalized, should be heavily taxed.
Stem Cell Research:Can't really decide as of yet.
    Death Penalty:For.
    Rape:Chemical Castration all the way.
UN:Can't do crap, needs more power.

War in Afghanistan:Much better now, we shouldn't pull out yet.
Iran:Hate with a passion, but overthrowing the first government and backing the shah was a huge mistake to begin with.
Israel:Giant mistake to create it in the first place, but we have to finish what we start, so support it. I'm all for a joint Palestinian-Israeli state.

I am a lot more leftist then I had expected, I would actually place myself more in the middle. I definitely have some very right wing tendencies but I think I wouldn't act on them.

    DOB: 1994
Country of Residence: Kingdom of the Netherlands
    Nationality: Dutch
    Political Compass Result:
    Economic Left/Right: -4,75

Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Moderate leftist
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): Social Democrats, Constitutional Monarchism
Do you indentify yourself with a certain political party: Not really, I am happy to just observe them.
    Religion: Agnostic

    Abortion: Pro
War in Iraq: Against, there was no good reason to invade Iraq, the removing an oppressive dictator argument applies to a lot of countries and is irrelevant.
Marijuana: Only for personal use and a limited amount per person.
Firearms: Only for hunting etc and properly licensed, in the streets only the police should be allowed to wear firearms.
Gay Marriage: Pro, Gay people exist and it does not diminish their worth as humans in any way, they deserve love and marriage like everyone.
Gay adoption: Pro, I know some wonderful families with same sex parents.
Religion in schools: Children should know at least about the existence of religions but should absolutely not be coerced into believing anything.
Death penalty: No, not a very solid no because there truly are monsters which make me doubt myself but in principle: no.

Obama: Pro, good guy but I am realistic about what he can achieve in such a divided parliament and country.
UN: Very good principle, its the future in my opinion, right now the individual states have and should retain there powers.
EU: Good idea, we need to show we can solve the issues at hand though, if we don't its over.
Israel: I support Israelian statehood and hope they can live happy lives in their own country
Palestine: I support Palestinian statehood and hope they can live happy lives in their own country
USA: Rather the USA then any other superpower but they should learn some humility and modesty.
Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: Very important and boring issue
Genetically Modified crops: If its well regulated and controlled its fine by me
Animal Rights: Animals should not be ill-treated but the whole animal hype goes to far, they are not humans.
Stem Cell Research: Go for it! Should be regulated and moderated by an impartial institution (Governments, UN, EU etc.), we don't want them going too far.

Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: UKIP/Conservatives
    Religion: Christian, Anglican

Abortion: Pro-Life. Anything that has the potential to become a human being deserves the right to life. Who are we to decide who lives and who dies? In the cases of rape, the morning-after pill should suffice - no need for abortion.
    War in Afghanistan: Mainly For.
    War in Iraq: Against.
    Marijuana: Against.
Firearms: Some restrictions are necessary, although too much regulation should be avoided.
    Gay Marriage: Against.
    Gay adoption: Against.

EU: Against due to the ever-increasing clout of Brussels of the sovereignty of England and the undermining of its democratic process.
    Russia: Undecided, generally Russophobic.
Iran: Military action may be necessary in the future although for now a resolution should be attempted through diplomatic pressure and the raising of trade embargoes upon the country.
    Israel/Palestine: Pro-Israel.
Scottish Independence: England would be better off without them.

Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: Sceptical of climate change, although I admit that preserving the environment is necessary. In favour of strong green-belt regulation.
    Genetically Modified crops: Undecided.
Animal Rights: In favour of Animal welfare but not animal rights. Animals do not have rights but we should look relieve their suffering.
Stem Cell Research: Undecided - Leaning towards against, Humans should not play God.

Political Hero(es)/Heroine(s): Enoch Powell, Baroness Thatcher, Edmund Burke, Nigel Farage and Ron Paul.

    DOB: 10th of February, 1993
    Country of Residence: Switzerland
    Nationality: Swiss and Italian
    Political Compass Result: Economic Left/Right: -9.50, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.95
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Usually Left
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): The Enlightenment (even if I'm a few centuries late)
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: No
    Religion: None (atheist)
Favourite form of government: non presidential federal republic, with direct democracy for big issues, parliament for details and a collegial government to execute the people's will and run the country

Abortion: Should be legal, but only up until a certian moment in pregnancy, afterwards it's infanticide
Marijuana: I wouldn't smoke it, but people should be free to do it
Firearms: Controlled, they don't really make people safer
    Gay marriage: For
    Gay adoption: For
Religion in schools: Only as history
Death penalty: Against, I think penal labour would be better

Healthcare: should be a human right
Euthanasia: for, in cases without hope of recovery, but only with consent of the individual or the family
Immigration: for, but we should help other countries, so that there wouldn't be the necessity of mass emigration
Taxation: would be a good thing if the state wasn't corrupt/inept
The Military: only for homeland defence, plus international corps to stop dictators, but only if the population asks for it
Communism: not bad in principle, but not sufficent to lead to a just world
Nazism/Fascism: I oppose all forms of unquestioned authority and oppression
Direct democracy: In Switzerland it works and the internet would make it a viable option even for a worldwide federation

UN: It's a good idea, but it has been implemented in a way that makes it useless/powerless
USA: Should worry about it's own issues, stop being a rogue country and submit to international law
EU: It's a beautiful dream, but it has been hijacked and it's now more a union of markets then a union of peoples, should look at Switzerland as an example
Israel/Palestine: A good example of how religion can ruin the world
Independece of countries in general: should be decided by the inhabitants, democratically
Political organization of the world: I'm for a worldwide multilayered federation, that could make a more efficient/sane use of the planet resources, while preserving cultural identity and leaving regional issues and regional implementation of worldwide policies to regional governments

Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: We need to learn to recycle our resources, to stop destroying the world, and show that 5 millions years of evolution spent on brain funtion increases were not wasted
Genetically Modified crops: They could do a lot of good, but the present technology is rudimentary, they are only used to make multinationals richer anyway
Animal Rights: For, I do not condone cruelty, but if an experiment on rats can save a child's life, then experiment at will
Stem Cell Research: For, of course
Science: scientific research should be founded by all countries, patents should be abolished, technological advancement should belong to all humanity, not to some multinational corporation, expanding our knowledge of the universe/world should be considered a priority

Political Hero(es)/Heroine(s): Democracy does not need heroes, only people willing to inform themselvs and vote

    Country: Sweden
    Nationality: Swedish
    Ideologies: Conservatism & Nationalism
    Political Spectrum: Right wing
    Religion: Culturally Christian atheist.

    Summary of views:
    * Limit immigration,
    * maintain our neutrality, and look after our own interests, EU does some good, but we don't need further integration. No need to join NATO.
    * don't really have a preference for size of government, just do what works.
    * swiss style democracy is good.

For the record PoliticalCompass.org sucks and is worthless.

    DOB: 29/04/1991
    Nationality: German
    Political Compass Result: Economic Left/Right: -3.88 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.74
Where do you put yourself on the political spectrum: Centre-Left.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political grouping (socialist, neocon, etc): Nope.
Do you identify yourself with a certain political party: SPD, although with a failing intensity.
Religion: Protestant background with a wholy-atheistic education.
Direct democracy: Not practicable with a larger scale population or on important/secret matters.

    Abortion: Pro choice
    War in Afghanistan: Against it
    War in Iraq: Against it
Marijuana: It can't really be prohibited, can it? For. Never used this mind-changing .
Firearms: Against, no chance in hell should the public have access to semi-automatic fire-arms for "protection."
    Gay Marriage: For
    Gay adoption: For
Religion in schools: Very important as its worth spending thought & interpretation on.
Death penalty: Against, we have outlived the Code of Hammûrabi.

    Healthcare: Staunch yes.

Euthanasia: Never ever. Life is a gift. Nearly died twice, saw 9 people die a horrid, despicable death, clinging on their last straw of life-energy till the very end.
Could you tell them your life is not worth living?

Immigration:Pro, the human Evolution is a history of successfull & failed Immigration.
Taxation: They killed Rangers. Put them high up my loving-scale.
The Military: Important to keep global reach through technology although without human-resources & overstretching.
Communism: Failed so miserably and is so unpractical that even Chrustschow wrote the DDR in the 60's off as a failure.
Nazism/Fascism: Ah...I'm german. No, in the most decisive way.

UN: Failing in their aspirations, although those are sky-high.
USA: Going economically & socially backwards. I'm watching.
EU: Imperative for us to stick together. A failure of the EU would determine the decline of all european countries to economical minnows. UKIP is the british pendant to the Tea Party.
Russia: Ruled by a very capable tsar, although not the most subtle.
China: Re-took their position in humanity's history. The power-nation No. 1
Arab Spring: I'm a great admirer of arabian literature & philosophy. But this is hugely dangerous, the influences on the rebells in Syria and on other locations are not the Facebook-"freedom"-fighters anymore. The once so promising arabian Spring could be the instrumental stepping stone for wahhabitic forces. Not what the Arabian People have deserved after decades of foreign invasions.
Iran: Unfittingly described as an evil state, more of an oasis of stability within an ocean of tribal & religious conflicts. Expect S.hiits & sunnit conflicts to start within years.
Israel/Palestine: Israel have broken those "human rights" once too often. The constitutional clause, that a palestine-ish state must exist on its soil from 1948 has never been fulfilled.
Scottish Independence: Dangerous, but Britain. the Queen & the Queen's Guard.
Global Warming/Environmental Regulation: Our responsibility to leave a habitable planet should be on the top of our agenda.
Genetically Modified crops: Against. Huge fan of unfridgerised food, even if costly. I love good cheese & air dried flesh so much, I could be a frenchman.
Nationalism: Being proud of a generic birth-place? Nationality is nothing but a piece of paper.
Stem Cell Research: Against. We are not genetic designers. Nor should there be such.

Political Hero(es)/Heroine(s): One that should surprise - Albert Göring. Although not much of a politican. Google him.

Shale: My heart does not qualify as shiny. I kill. Frequently, and not without pleasure.
Leliana: You had a difficult life. Deep down, at the center of your being, you are a good person. I believe that.
Shale: Even though I have never demonstrated this aspect? How peculiar.
Leliana: You aren't all stone, Shale. There is a person inside of you.
Shale: If so, it is because I ate it.
