low settings 720p would be playable.

to give you a rough Idea, the 6450 GPU is so weak both Intels Integrated GPUs in the new Ivy Bridge processors released earlier this year and even AMD's integrated GPUs in the llano APUs and Trinity APUs are faster than the discrete graphics

simply put, todays integrated garbage graphics processors are faster than your discrete GPU.

compared the AMD Llano APU with various graphics cards AND its built in onboard gpu. you will see in most titles the integrated solution is faster, if you want to play games you need a better gpu to actually enjoy them.

This is what im currently playing shogun 2 on low settings with.

    Intel core 2 duo @2.6ghz
    2gb of ram
    Geforce GT210

Surely the new pc would be able to play better than what i have now?

not really slighty better frame rates but not much.

your going from epic weak to still weak

GT210 and 6450 are still SO WEAK todays integrated graphics as in the cheapest crap you can buy in a system aka read this as APU around $90 cpu is faster $500 wallmart specials with Trinity APUs in them have faster gpus but they are still crap,

Not trying to be mean but the GPUs your looking at are not ment for games, they are ment to hook a monitor to and surf the internet and play facebook games and watch videos.

that doesnt mean you need a beast of a PC thats overly expensive but it does mean if you want to buy the cheapest you can find expect a terrible gameplay experience.

    http://www.walmart.com/ip/20977051?a...l5=pla&veh=sem

example A8 5500 APU has an integrated 7560D gpu ON the cpu, in one package its far faster than that 6450 or 210 and its still nearly unplayable for most games Skyrim at medium is only playable at 720p

Point is if you want to play any games and have them not look like they came out in 200 you need a AMD 5770 or better from the 5000 series 6770 or better from the 6000 series or 7750 or better in the 7000 series,

for NVIDIA 450 or better in the 400 series 550 or better in the 500 series 660 or better in the 600 series the 650 isnt out yet and the 640 is weaker than a 550.

regardless you can get a FX 6100 + 7770 through Ibuypower with the right customizations for $675
the starting price for that systeme was $750 using an FX 4100 and a GT 640 which are both weaker, just have to know what to look for.

Well with the 6770 gpu it would be £380, i suppose i could search all the parts and see how much it's costing me to build myself. Thanks for the help you've given me aswell.

Any component websites you know of?

Im in the UK so ill try overclockers.uk and see what i can come up with.

Just had a look on overclockers at parts and its worked out an extra £40 if i build it myself.

Sorry about all these double posts but i can't seem to edit posts yet.

Ive managed to get the price of the components down to exactly the same price as the pre-built system, so i might aswell just get it ready built.
