End Turn Results In Ridiculously Long Wait
I didn't have this problem when I had played 6.1 (retail version of the game), but now that I installed 6.3 (Steam version, different copy) every time I end my turn I'm forced to wait up to 5 minutes for my next turn.
I don't know why this happens, my system doesn't seem like it can't handle it. Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 980 Processor clocked at 3.92GHz
8.00 GB of RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium
Nvidia GTX670
Anyone know why this happens?

Re: End Turn Results In Ridiculously Long Wait
I didn't mean to quasi-necro but I am having this issue too, and this was one of the first threads with this problem.
I timed my turns over a 20 turn period (all early era, beginning of the campaign) and they took between 5 and 7 minutes to complete.
Here are my specs:
windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
ASUS x6 1090t phenom @ 3.3 ghz (plenty of cooling, Corsair H70 + 3 x 200mm case-mounted fans)
4 gbs of OCZ 1600 mhz ram (never an issue as I tend to play older games that can't used much more)
Gainward golden sample ATI HD4870 (basically extra cooling + OC'd)
650w corsair PSU
All of this on a fresh SS 6.4 early era campaign with BGR IV, Savage AI, longer assimilation, perm arrows + towers. Oh and I am running the game through steam.

Re: End Turn Results In Ridiculously Long Wait
there were some other articles about this and it seems there are too many scripts, i have similar problems with much better pc than the game requires, up to turn 40 its pretty doable, after that turn it just snowballs up to 3-5 minutes (around turn 200 in early campaign), dont know how is it later because i stop playing due to this issue (and these numbers are way too ridiculous for this mod to be playable in my opinion)
