    Default Is it possible to have more than one family tree for each faction?

    This could work for barbarian tribes as well, as there were often internal fights about who would be chief, but focusing on the Roman faction could there not be 4 or 5 different family trees for each faction? For example you have 5 different family trees running parrell and you (as the player) have to try your best to keep them all placid, some will have strong republican traits, some imperial others might have more leanings to other factions - you can intermarry between these families to stay off disuputs and make political alliances (as was done in real life) and you can bring other outsiders into these famalies forming seperate branches. When one branch rebels you would have a proper civil war with not just one general but several all rebelling at once. You can have the choice to execute all members of the family, just the ringleaders or forgive them- all these decisions can have consequences with foreign nations and the other famalies - What do people think?

    I like this idea in principle but I think if you implement it gets a bit too confusing having to manage 4 different families and balance their needs.

    I do like the idea of a civil war mechanic that isn't simply a trigger, it could work well for wars of succession as well for the Hellenistic kingdoms with a secondary family member declaring themselves king or even becoming an independent realm onto themselves but it would be a really tricky mechanic to balance properly without making it too much of a chore.

    I rather like this idea, with different views and expressions it could make rebellions over areas much more plausible and in depth, along with being able to possibly marry different families and amke an uber general(finding desirable traits found in different trees and marrying them together). Could add to how risky AI's are if they are attacking a city with a rival families general is leading an allied army to the same objective.
