I can't find Roman soldiers

When I play custom battles as Rome, for some reason I can never find the Roman troops, only a lot of mercenaries.

Not to be bashing but seriously, there also was a question about this before you called "custom battle rome"

Go to your start menu and locate the EB folder. Then click "EB Configuration" and select "Multiplayer" from the drop down menu. Then start the game from the button in the EB Configuration window. You will not be able to play single player in this mode but all of the factions will now have their factional troops and associated common regionals in the custom battles option rather than the AoR recruits that the single player game mode has available. Use the multiplayer option from the EB Configuration window when you want to play a custom battle with the factional troops rather than the AoR troops.
