is the CPU good for SHOGUN 2?

The CPU is INTEL QUAD CORE Q9550 CPU @ 2.83 ghz.
I'm buying a new PC with this cpu.
is it a good one?

Not really. Shogun 2 doesn't utilize all the cores of quadcores, so you're better off with a newer faster architecture, like Sandy/Ivy Bridge.

INTEL Q6600 CORE 2 QUAD 2.4GHz PROCESSO? is that better than the first one? will it run shogun good?

Minimum spec = no. The game still only uses one core 100%. I say 3GHz or better Sandybridge. It manages the game better in spite of CA's efforts otherwise.

the older Core 2 architecture is worthless for SHogun 2 for the most part,

essentially CPU bench or google are your friends here

The Core 2 Architecture will = the very last CPU on this image aka Core 2 and Phenom II were pretty much identicle in performance for games, and as you can see its performance is weak comapred to far newer products.

8 gb of ram
amd readeon HD 7770 Sapphire edition 1gb
intel quad core q6600 2.4ghz
windows 7
500gb space

the chart doesnt lie its pure CPU performance test graphics all low with just the CPU doing calculations in a heavy melee scene your Q6600 will be slower than anything on that chart. Simple fact.
