What's wrong with the Yankee & British veterans in FOTS?

Every US veteran i recuited always starts with "homesick" trait. While the the British got "an eyes for Lady" right after i stack a geisha in the army with him in 1 turn. Is this a bug?

Its realistic as far as the British part goes, im a serving British soldier and whenever we go somewhere the first question is what are the women like haha

Its probably something that will wear off after a few turns and a few battles, i know when im away from home i get homesick for abit then get used to it so maybe its to give it that bit of realism.

You've just had a bad run of luck recruiting your vets, it would seem (unless they have updated the game since I last played FotS)

You need to recruit Captain Nathan Algren; sure he's got psychological problems, but he's not homesick and tends to keep what's in his pants there, and not where it doesn't belong.

I prefer Dizzi`s explanation as it comes from reality.

TBH, I usually get the British ones because, in my games at least, they all come with the "Naturally Superior" trait

I prefer French foreign agents to be honest. Brits are annoying, equally so are the Americans. I think they used the same voice actor from Nappy, so it's cool to hear Napoleon talk to me.

I think the traits are random so it's just bad luck but what really gets me is why everyone suddenly has to have muttonchops and a beard after hitting level 3 experience as a foreign veteran. Just wrong to me.

You'd think it would be the Americans who end up with that perk more frequently.
