    Icon5 A question unit variants

how many different variants of clothing can they put in a unit? because it looks like there are a decent amount of variants in the screenshots that we have gotten. although im wondering because barbarian warriors never really looked the same, not that i want an infinite amount of unit variants i hope you understand but i hope there will be a repspectable amount, more than any other total war game. it really imerses you more when there are less clone units and more authentic clothed unit variants.

as many as they like..if they wanted they could make every soldier unique to the teeth.. but i would rather see this game come out before 2050

Yeah, there isn't really a limit, but it's always good to keep the variations rather low, so low-end computers can run it too. Unless there will be a graphics option to increase the variations

PS. Jack Lusted is on this thread right now

IIRC even in MTW2 you can have soldier variations, it all depends on how much time your skinners have(unless I'm completely mistaken and the variation can be controlled by "dressing" the skeleton with pre-made separate stuff like Helmets/armor and a randomizer gives them different equipment, in which case it would be modellers ). I don't think the GPU will be bothered much by variations of the dress/armament, it's mainly polygons that concern it.

I'd enjoy trooper variation, except maybe for "royal guard" units like silvershields for example. It doesn't really matter, since different factions will have different "color schemes", so there will be no chance of confusing the units, but the attention to detail would be welcomed and appreciated.
