Nobô no shiro
The 1590 siege of Oshi was one of many battles in Toyotomi Hideyoshi's campaigns against the Hōjō clan during Japan's Sengoku period.
Oshi, which was a castle under the control of the Hōjō clan, was attacked by senior Toyotomi retainer Ishida Mitsunari. Throughout this siege, Mitsunari used a prior strategy of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, that of diverting a river to flood the whole castle area. Mitsunari's victory in this siege had greatly assisted in the supremacy of his master.

So what's the discussion? That Mitsunari is more badass than Date Masamune?
I got a discussion, would Hideyoshi win in a pitched battle against the Shimazu when the Shimazu are using that insane tactic to completely surround enemy armies, I mean the Shimazu did beat Hideyoshi's subordinates twice and only lost when Hideyoshi besieged their fortress. How good was Hideyoshi in a battle anyway, cause I've only really seen him in Yamazaki and the rest is just sieges.

It's the Siege of Bitchuu Takamatsu, where Toyotomi Hideyoshi flooded a whole castle and sent boats to attack the castle before getting the news that Oda Nobunaga got assassinated. The map features the 3-mile dyke that he erected and waterways within the castle!
That said...I actually recommend against steering the boats into the castle, they get stuck in the middle of the waterways in and out of the castle for no apparent reason and I can't find a way to fix that. (Can someone look it over for me and perhaps find a solution?)
