Default Dark Side of the Moon-Meanings

While watching Pulse the other day, going to the second disc which showed the Dark Side of the Moon in it's entirety, I really wanted to know what each song meant. I had a loose idea about time, but I'm pretty sure that it isn't about age. If this forum can give a good meaning for each of the songs, it would be very helpful.

I remember my dad said that album and the Wall were about Syd Barrett. I could be wrong, he said it was about someone though i know that for sure.

I thought "Wish You Were Here" and "The Wall" were dedicated to Syd Barret.

How do we know it has a coherent meaning? They were almost certainly on drugs when composing it, so the meaning could be a garbled mess.

But every album has a meaning. It doesn't matter of they were doing LSD while making it, they must have made it to mean something. Recent research I've done says that it is about life. Besides, it's pretty much impossible to make a good song while under the influence. Look at The Beatles Anthology DVD, Ringo Starr said whenever they took LSD and played music it, "sounded like ****."
