Default Regency, new daimyo & family tree

Sorry if this has been answered before... but a few questions from a new player to the total war series:

1- Are there any disadvantages to losing your daimyo, ie instability, loyalty, revenue, etc.
In my Takeda campaign, my daimyo got caught in the open with a small army and got wiped out... I didn't notice much difference afterwards.
2- any negative effects from staying in regency for a few years?
The son was only 10 when his mother became regent... Could I have stick to that arrangement until he grew up? Or would the generals have rebelled if I hadnt promoted one to daimyo?
3- Can I view the family tree of another clan or only mine is visible (singleplayer)?

1- Yes. Daimyo dies = general less loyal during regent years. More instability in provinces because you can't gain honour to foster the population.

2- Your regent cannot goto battle to gain honour through skill tree etc; thus, it is negative. Honor effects, the way other clan view you, your generals loyalty, and the stability of population control.

    3. No. Would you let some jerk view your family tree if you were Daimyo?

    Thanks for the reply Confucius...

as for #3, I mean, these are the leading rulers of Japan, their family tree and the important members of the clans would be known to all.

My main reason to ask was for marriage... It would be nice to know who is close to coming of age so I could make an informed decision about marrying my son & heir now to that midsize but far away clan's daughter or waiting a year or two to try to get tied into a much more powerful clan on my borders
