I thank you your majesty. I was thinking that we could perhaps discuss terms of an alliance between our glorious nations, and military aid should either party require it. We have also heard reports that you have recently broke a peace with England, no doubt accomplished by your Majesties wise diplomatic skills. The Kaiser would be willing to aid your Majesty should the English try and press their claims again, and we would also be willing to aid your Majesty should you attempt to conquer the barbarous Bretons who discard your right to rule.

I am aware of what the Danes and Swedes are doing. And also, I would have your people on my borders any day, rather than those vikings. Again, I expected you to come to me, as naturally we both are successors of Charlemagne.

We can have an alliance, no problems there. I am willing to give you 1/2 of the French army initially. And if even then things don't turn around, another 1/4 of it.
But what will you give me? Money I do not want, I have enough. But there is something you could give me.

Of course your majesty. The Kaiser will help a fellow ally of the Empire. What would your Majesty ask of ten Reich?

The regions of Hainaut, Besancon, Lorraine, Sundga, Aargau. Five regions with considerable French population for our friendship and army.

He sets down the goblet, and leans forward.
Think now, if you write me a document about the concession of those regions, I shall order my army to march instantly to your capital. My spies tells me that the Danes are preparing. you have not much time.

He gives a sly smile.
As for the land, you can compensate the loss of these with the gain of Danish ones.

All of it, your majesty? Lorraine has been occupied by Germans for years. not even the Romans held that land. surely you would not want the descendants of Alaric the heathen as part of the kingdom consisting of the descendants of the noble Roman empire. But of course, my Kaiser will be happy to consider your Majesties noble and generous offer, should you decide that all of these territories should become part of the mighty Royaume de France.

I, Robert Kirk, Duke of Saxony, Elector of the empire, and High Chancellor of Kaiser Heinrich Wittelsbach, Hereby declare that the provinces of Hainut, Lotharingia, Besancon, Sundgau and Ardgau are now Crown Territories of the Kingdom of France, and are under the Jurisdiction and ownership of it's king, Charles V of The Royal House Capet. The Holy Roman empire has relinquished it's claims to these provinces, and in return the Noble and Honourable King Charles V has granted the Empire an army to aid them in the current war against Denmark. Once that war is finished the troops shall return to their king in France. The Reich also promises to aid King Charles V should England decide to press it's claims.
