Freezing screen during battles, then crash

Hi everyone,

I've got some issues with Shogun 2 and FOTS, they both crash during most of battles (about 99%...).
First the game freezes (generally at the end of the battle, just before asking me if I want to stop or pursue ennemies), then it crashes and goes back to desktop.

I looked for some help on the web, andso checked my drivers, checked Steam files, used direct9 instead of direct11, etc, but it doesn't solved the problem (it did for a while, I could get from turn 20 to turn 60 without crash, but now it's back ).


The computer I used have :

Poor me

I posted this afternoon on the total war forum. I hope they'll have a solution, I bougth a computer to play Shogun 2 (and next total war) without any problem and with ultra graphics, it would be a shame if it doesn't work.

I am having this problem as well. It happens during certain big battles and usually towards the end. The game will just freeze and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to get out of it. I have tried numerous suggestions but nothing seems to work.

I haven't played the game for over 3 weeks due to frustration and probably won't anytime soon. I know a statement like this doesn't help anything, but I want people who are experiencing this to know they are not alone.
