    Default Map Editor

As I'm to lazy to mod anything I would love it if they included a campaign map editor (like the one in Heroes 3).
However I find the scenario (Punintended) highly unlikely.

    Cons:
*It wouldn't be smart to implement a campaign map editor if you were planning an expansion pack
-unless you were aiming for other new content.
*A lot of bad campaign maps would probably pop up on the interweb.

    Pros:
*For the users it would mean hours and hours of great entertainment created by their own hand.
*The game would probably have a longer lifetime with "new content" beeing so easily created.

Would any modders/programmers even consider to make such a tool if CA didn't?

There is some editor, TIME or something like that, but i was not very impressed. And it will be absolutely fantastic if TW M2 would have true, official campaign editor. But i doubt it...

TIME is very buggy and does not work with 1.5/1.6, and probably 1.3 and 1.4 as well.

The closest thing to a map editor at the moment is the combo of a good graphics editor (or preferable a geographic information system) and BrandonM's descr_strat editor. Even that leaves you to edit manually the input required by the descr_strat (for instance if you add previously nonexistent regions). Integrating the two would be a major task if you ask me and I doubt CA will bother.

A campaign editor would be nice. Something like the rtw tutorial where you are a general in charge of an army and not in control of actual territory (well that's how it starts anyway) and you are told where to camp, who and where to attack etc.
