The registration will be open for two days.

One of the forms first to arrive at the newly-built tournament grounds in Leeuwarden is from one Sir Cristoforo Acuto, who plans to participate in these events:
    -the Joust
    -the Melee
Sir Acuto notes that he does not currently personally carry all of the required equipment, but will acquire all missing prerequisites before he arrives in Leeuwarden.
Also contained in the packaged form, is Acuto's Proof of Nobility, showing hand written copies of his father's establishment of knighthood and his own knighthood,
with his personal shield emblazoned upon a final parchment so that it may be copied and hung upon the board of participants.

OOC: Perhaps a nice horse or a good weapon would be appropriate for a prize too?
I'm not sure if you should bring it up with a mod or not.
    Suggestions:
    - A Spanish or Arabic horse, like a thoroughbred?
    - just some beautiful sword, crafted by the best smith in the kingdom
    - Excellent plate armor?

As you arrive at the tournament grounds in Leeuwarden, you see a letter at the entry.

To all who wish to participate in the Imperial Tournament.

It has been decided that a few changes has been made to the rules.

    1. Any man able to fight and of the age 18 and up are allowed to participate.
    2. Participants are expected to get most of their equipment on their own, but those who do not have all required equipment may borrow from th Tournament Armoury.
    3. There will be four contests to partake in:
    Jousting
    One-on-one Meele
    Grand Battle
    Archery

One must partake in at least two contests.
    4. The list of required equipment have been extended:
    Full Scale Armour
    A horse
Sword, Mace, Axe, Haliberd, Morningstar or Zweihänder
    Shield
    Lance
    Bow and arrows
[OOC: It is not necessary that you have all of these in your personal equipment]

    5. The prize has been modified.

Jousting: The winner will receive 5 000 RM, a fine horse and the title Master Horseman.
One-on-one battle: The winner will receive 5 000 RM, a Crusader Sword and the title of Master Knight.
Grand battle: The winner will receive 5 000 RM, a Full Scale Armour and the title of Master Commander.
Archery: The winner will receive 5 000 RM, a Crossbow and the title of Master Archer.

After the contests are over shall the guests on the Imperial Bleacher elect a participant that has showed exceptional talent, bravery and valor to Master of the Tournament. That person will receive 10 000 RM and a Golden Crown.
    6. All who wish to participate must contact Tournament Leader Frederick Guttenberg.
You then see a man followed by a few men, discussing something important about the arena. He must be the Tournament Leader, so you know you must talk to him if you want to be a part of the Tournament.

A month and a few weeks pass between the arrival of Cristoforo's now obsolete form and his own arrival in Leeuwarden.
As his horse pads its way up to the Tournament Grounds at the end of the city, he notices the more recent letters posted around the city, and the large board full of new rules in front of the complex...

He later goes up to the registration dais, where 3 busy heralds are scribbling away at several large piles of parchment, of which keep getting bigger and bigger.
He retrieves his old form after a long turbulent discussion with the impatient herald in the middle, and
then goes about rewriting his papers so that they include the correct events:
    - the Joust
    - the One-on-one Melee
    - the Grand Battle

"I wish the participants the best of luck, but I would question the wisdom of having our nation's finest battling in such circumstances, we would certainly not wish for the flower of our youth to be cut short by an inopportune cut or thrust? Therefore I would suggest we find a far better way of arranging things? Perhaps including non-lethal sports. I am sure there are those in the realm who would appreciate the ability with the state's finest yet not suffer from the chance of taking such terrible punishment at the same time?"
