Hi! Seem like i can't find a settlement to conquer in the "arabian desert -region". Has this been fixed in the latest patch or are no settlements in the region?
Thanks!

I believe that there is a settlement somewhere around, but it is surrounded by UN-conquerable terrain so as to keep you from conquering it. It is to keep players from conquering what is basically a vast expanse of absolutely nothing, with nomads here and there. Generals of the time wouldn't have even bothered.
it is a vast wasteland that is intentionally unconquerable... just like the vast expanse next to egypt. You wil also notice that you canot enter it
Hi Guys ,
Just a note to say on the topic.
The Arabian Peninsula used to be territories for tribes that lived there : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribes_of_Arabia
However , there were strategic main town settelments which is hard to miss on a small study about that Era.
I think there should be 5 more Settelments to be conquered in Arabia which will make the game more interesting.
1) Taif (It is in Mecca Province , however its a different city and battles occured for the city)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taif#62...hammad.27s_era
2) Qatif (It is one of the oldest settlements in the eastern side of the Arabian peninsula, its history going back to 3500 BC)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Qatif
3) Al Kharj (Al-Yamamah broke away from the Abbasid Empire in 866 and the area fell under the rule of the Ukhaydhirites, who moved the capital from Hajr to nearby Al Kharj. AL-Yamama province , known to every Arab. Nowadays it is called Najd Province , where Riyadh is Located , the capital of Saudi Arabia. This is the link to know more about Yamamah/Najd.

4) Jeddah ( It was not just a port , it is a city with a port. This link explains how important this city was for the Ayyubid Empire)

The only place that was empty in Arabia is now know as the Empty Quarter : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empty_Quarter
The Ridda Wars is just proof enough that battles were fought in Middle Arabia

I hope they make add more towns in central Arabia , people used to travel , even Armies marched across I dont see the point of making a Mod
which is centralized in Arabia , and not add all the provinces known in Arabia.
Hope you find this interesting.
arabia CAN be conquered and it was ruled but emirs and important state like alashraf who were vassals to egypt in that time and and yemen and oman and north arabia was ruled by states like alqaramita and more
but the deseart tribes were vassal to states like the tribes of hijaz a ruled by AlSharif the ruler of mecca for example
and for the citys i can only asure to you that you'll so change that will make you happy about it
Well, the middle of the desert is intentionally impossible to conquer. It would look silly to have your territory borders stretch deep into the desert. Also, it would be even sillier to march an army through it (though preventing this doesn't require a separate region)
it also plays an important part in controlling where armies travel... the impassable terrain stops armies from going places the mod team does not want them to go. This is used in a few other regions, for instance sindh cannot march directly into india... which prevents conflict between the rajputs and sindh. If arabia were opened up it would create alot of random issues, such as the abbasids, koj, oman etc interacting in ways the team does not want.
its like making your state streach to all the forest in russia
in middle arabia which is called najd theirs important citys like alyamamah and fayd and buraydah etc..
which were conquered throughout the history of arabia and the deserts can be ruled by ruling the tribes the lives in it and so on
but for sure we wont let all arabia can be marched to like rub alkhali or alnafud
