Crashes,

Hello! I am new to the mod, and I really like it so far.

I've been playing as sylvania, and I'm in around turn 30ish. I have this problem, whenever I beat this orc army that's sieging a dwarf city I took over, I always crash. It's annoying, because it's a huge army, and not really incredibly easy to beat. Is there any way to prevent these crashes? I've been having a bunch of them

I installed 1.5, and installed 1.51 and the english stuff etc.

is the enemy army being a script having anything to do with it?

Did you try this version: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=525138 ? It's pretty much ctd free english version, and easy download via torrent

Yes, it's the version you want to try if your going for english language, Gigantus has made miracles with it.

Remember to apply the patch and hotfixes too from the same thread.

For the rest I suggest you try this version too, since it's more stable with the translation. I have currently played about 60+ turns with Middenland, Win 7 64 bit, and zero crashes. If you have problems, post in the Gig's thread with proper error reporting so he might help you out.

Oh well, I suppose that's the price for a great mod. I did as you said, and installed his version with all the patches and fixes, I still get sigmar preserve us. It seems to happen when reinforcements are involved with a battle, but I've had it without too

I crash every time I try to enter a battle, I've tried all your fixes and I really don't understand. I get that as well jjmc.

too bad I can't really play this game then. It's so much better than the lord of the rings total war

owch, so, what if I tinker with the scripted armies and disable a bunch of them? Would it work better then?

To be honest I have no idea. If it really is a problem with RBAI, that wouldn't fix the problem, just make it less likelly to happen. Some speculation at the forum Fastbreak pointed says that by installing earlier version of RBAI would fix the problem, but again, I have no idea...

c'est dommage then. I guess I'll just try to live with it, even if it is freaking frustrating to fight the same battles over and over again. Too bad total war didn't just like, hire the makers of this mod or something and make a DLC or a new total war, it's a great idea
