Crusader Kingdoms?

Does anyone else think this would be a really cool if CA out it in? After your done with a cursade, the land you conquered would become it's own kingdom and have some of your family member's as it's head. It could be a great lanchpad for an invasion. I'm thinking something on the lines of the Kingdom of Jereulam.

That would be awesome, but alas, won't happen unless we get super lucky. CA wouldn't do that in all likelyhood.

Yeah, thats pointlessly mean.

He is suggesting something like what is in Hearts of Iron 2, in which you can turn occupied lands into an independent country or puppet state.

Paradox (guys behind Hearts of Iron) has Crusader Kings (http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/...splay.php?f=81) basically a game where you assume control of any number of lords/noblemen from 1066 and attempt to carve out your Kingdom. Basically allows what the original poster stated, conquer the provinces that made up Kingdom of Jerusalem and form the kingdom with yourself as the king. Pretty fun game since you have to maintain your family line with marriages, children etc. You can pretty much pick any province that existed in 1066 and even be a vassal to NPC controlled kingdom and dragged along in their wars. Just like all paradox games combat is pretty non interactive.

I honestly don't think it is a very good idea, what if you only have a few family members left?

Well... in MTW you do get the land your crusade conquers...

it just counts as yours though... not technicaly another sub faction of your faction.

can still use it as an invasion launchpad.

Maybe if emergent factions work, and scripting to make them a protectorate after their independence.

in any case I don't believe they will be doing this. it is all about that discussion about factions we already had. if they do Crusader states, they have to do more factions in the east, Lithuania one of those. but that will never happen with some portion of ignorance from CA...
I am already accustomed with the idea that there will be no crusader kingdoms (which make medieval times into MEDIEVAL)
but what concerns me more is that we never saw some crusader units yet... and I fear they will make only few of them and very generic as well... would be an even bigger shame

I think there will be a similar feature but not exactly the same..if not what will europes crusading armies turn into when they conquer land (if about 3 factions join the crusade) maybe there will be a kingdom and your guy could have a place in it..well maybe im dreaming or maybe they will add it.
