Will the characters in Rome 2 have more...character?
I'm a huge fan of Shogun 2, i feel it is the best in the series and i came to that opinion over a long time of playing it, my previous all-time favourite was Rome but i feel Shogun 2 just pipped it, (just my opinion of course) but i must say that i feel the characters are a little flat, a bit 2-dimensional.
The reason for this is because my generals in Shogun 2 are basically just an amalgamation of beneficial stats that i myself chose, in Medieval 2 there were a large and interesting selection of random characteristics, from fear of blood to flatulence and it made them very memorable, in Shogun 2 all my generals only have stats i gave them, and after a while they all start to resemble one another a little too much, they don't have the "character" that generals like "Carlos the mad" had in my medieval 2 campaigns.
Are we going to see a return of the bald, the furious, the skin-flint, the ugly, the handsome, the rabble-rousers, the shy, will they take after their fathers when born, or will they be unlike them? will Rome 2's characters jump out at us with their individuality? or are we continuing to choose our own generals and agents traits with frankly, not much variation?
