Imperial Elections, 1372

Due to the inherent confusion in the last thread, I have decided to open a new one. This will be more simple than the last. I will add a poll here, and I request anyone (other than electors) not to vote.

Imperial Elections

Conditions

The Imperial elections are up. Nominate here if a royal wishes to rise to Emperor. There are just few rules.

1. The candidate must be a man of 18 years and above.
2. The candidate must have at least 2 generations of noble blood (not explicit) on each side.

Process

Below is the process.

1. Post your intent to stand in the elections with a small speech (a paragraph or so) on why you will make a fine Kaiser.
2. Refrain from further posts (other than the above) and from voting (except if you are elector).

Count Chris Van Isendoorn of Holland nominates himself for emperor because:

I wish to be Kaiser because we need a strong leader who is not afraid of over coming challenges, someone who is aggressive and who will not back from our enemies.We need a leader who has a vision for the empire, where the merchants are profitable, the nobles are secure, the peasants are content, and the priests are carrying out God's will. I, Chris of Holland, am such a person. While I prefer peace solutions, I am not afraid to use the power of the army to accomplish what the empire needs.

I, Duke Heinrich I of Frisia, stand before you as nominee for the title of Holy Roman Emperor. I am a man of peace and prosper, not of war and agony. War will only bring us pain, which is what happened several years ago, when the Empire became a paradise for anarchy. I intend to uphold peace and make our Reich the center of Europe both culturally, scientifically and economically. The people, the ground on which this Empire stands upon, shall be protected and cared for, far away from the struggles that follows war. But do not for one second think that I am weak, because if war would come to these lands, I swear to God that I will drive it away with the sword in my hand.
