    I dont remember the delay being this long but maybe im just remembering wrong

    but it seems CA has fubared the Teppo and Bow units of late,

    any time an enemy enters their range they wait till the enemy closes to the mid range aka if range is 125 they dont fire unti the enemy reaches around 60-70 in terms of range, making the range units function utterly friggin worthless, if you have defenses deployed aka the barriers of various types and tell them to manually select a unit to fire at they get stuck at the edges of the fence / barrier and still dont fire.

    Anyone else noticing this? it pretty much ruins the game play for me since units fail to actually follow orders and there fire at will is nerfed beyond belief.

    Only fix ive found is to increase the units range to around 200 so they fire at will around the 120 mark but thats not really a fix.

    Well i believe you can mod the shoot delay or the firing speed in the projectile table, im currently messing with the darthmod trying to make all the projectiles work more closely to the vanilla (but i little better) especially the way the projectiles spread, making them more accurate and i finally finish it so i may give a look to the fire delay if i come up with something i let you know.

    that would be great as i play both Vanilla and Sekigahara and in the latter well the delay makes teppo units just plain worthless better off with cavalry you can charge them before they even manage to fire a volley

    And here I thought it was only me...Also the damn AI never falters with its arrows...hell half the time they fire at you when are point blank and engaging them...

    Try to change the value 0,12 to 0,1 in the unknown 15 tab of the shogun_matchlock that is located in the projectiles table its right next the base_reload, if it doesn't work reset the unknown 15 value back to 0,12 and try to change the accuracy from 28 to 30 or 35 i believe that may do the trick

    Bow units with range of 150 start to fire at 125
    Teppo units with range of 100 start to fire at 100
    Fots gun units with range of 125 start to fire at 125
    Fots gun units with long range of 150 start to fire at 150

    That means if you want that gun and bow units shot at the same time you should add to bow units +25 range!

    So has anyone found a solution to this? It's ridiculous when you're matchlock units fail to open fire in rank fire mode when charged by a cavalry unit. It really seems to take way too many seconds for them to start firing even if the enemy is in their range.

    Fire by rank is bugged, if you don't use it the matchlocks will fire as soon as the enemy is in range. Nothing wrong with the archers though.

    Matchlock units fire well without the fire by rank activated, but only the first row of the units opens fire, this reduces their firepower drastically and makes them almost useless.

    I hope CA is aware of this issue and fixes it before their focus is fully on Rome 2.
