Noob Question.....

Hey everyone! Epicly good mod, love it! BUT, here's the noob part - I'm Sparta and can't recruit Spartan Hoplites and such. I know there's reforms so I'd like to know, how I may trigger them - or - when do they happen?

Sparta does have reforms, though it doesn't currently work for everyone. The only reform unit they get are pikemen.

You'll never be able to recruit Spartan Hoplites. Unlike the elite units other factions get, you will get 'free' Spartan Hoplite and Skiritai units at certain levels of growth. You'll get one of each at 25 and 50 regions, IIRC, and they will spawn at Sparta. It didn't work correctly in my campaign with them, but most everyone else doesn't seem to be having trouble.

Once they have spawned, you'll only be able to retrain them (other than blacksmith upgrades) at Sparta. They also won't be replaced if you lose them, so be careful. They are mostly worth the hassle though, since they are AMAZING.

Or you can edit them so they can be trained ,but that is cheating.
