So, for that we need electors, so I leave it to the players to decide on how the electors should be selected. There would be 7 electors among royals.

Agreed. The problem with rolling is that these guys will be responsible potentially for electing our Emperor... Do you want to leave it in incapable hands? I don't. My char is 100% dedicated to whoever sits that throne, that's my job as a Landgrave. I want a capable leader, and that should be chosen by the best suitable 7 electors, to scrutinize deeply any candidate's ascension, for the sake of having a qualified emperor. Come on guys think about the choices here

Yes he can. But that depends on if the Electors have failed in their duty to the Empire. The Emperor would need good reason to change the members of the Elector ranks

I think it's nobles, unless a law is passed allowing otherwise (I'm an non-noble too)

Holding 4 regions as a Landgrave, the Emperor is entitled to all my Provincial tax income I believe

Here are my views for each option.

-> D100 Roll: Impartial and quickest way. And I can step down soon, and let players become Kaiser.

-> Event: What Scipio said. But will take a lot of time to make an Elector at a time. That would delay my stepping down.

-> Discretion: My least favoured option. This would not seem fair at all.
