Welsh Defence League member David Championand his wife, Frances Champion, hit and punched their 17 year old daughter and her black boyfriend in a racist attack after catching them together at their family home.

Champion was jailed for 12 months and his wife for 9 months at Swansea Crown Court on Tuesday.

Good to see a stiff sentence for what was effectively an honour beating.

“David Champion asked his daughter if she was still seeing Mr Ncube.

"When she told him she was, he punched her in the face.

"Miss Champion said she felt huge pain to her left eye, but her father grabbed her by her throat, and continued hitting her.”

The mum yelled abuse at her daughter and began hitting her, causing swelling to her face and lumps on her head.

The pair then went in search of Alfonce who was “in hiding” at the restaurant where he worked.

Parents of a girl clearly don't like interracial relationships and that is that, plus she was only 17 and bringing her boyfriend home, who knows what else was she doing if that's how she behaves at 17 years of age! Well, even if they beat her up for not racist reasons, it's purely unacceptable to treat your child like that for having a relationship, even if you know/suspect she had sex with that man. I can understand them being angry finding out their daughter was sexually active at 17 (although a bit old fashioned) but that beating was taking it too far.

Then we have the racism problem. It seems it wasn't just because their not-really-underage daughter wasn't a virgin but a good deal of it was because said man was black.

He has a point, people are racist so what we know this stuff goes on everyday I wonder how many hundreds of Muslim women are beaten and killed for whatever stupid reason yet the BBC or whatever or stupid ''news'' provider does constantly repeat the same story over and over with them.

You may find that Women's refuges in Britain contain a random assortment of unfortunates. The BBC doesn't cover any wife battering stories, Muslim or otherwise unless they are tied to some report or study.

But here we are, another UKIP member who can live with the EDL but brings up an unnecessary reference to Muslims and an untrue reference about the media. This purely your own prejudice. You think that there must be loads of beatings going on by Muslims, entirely because of your own prejudice rather than any data, and therefore when you don't see this reported (quite possibly because your media intake doesn't get as far as page 4) you think the explanation must be a media conspiracy, which it's needless to say, is absurd.
